Things have been a little quiet here on Steam recently. There’s a good reason for that: We’ve been busy building the game.
Over the past few months, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes, with development and testing taking priority over posting regular updates here.
That’s about to change with the game entering Early Access this month.
We want the community to play an important part in what happens next.
The game is already being tested by a small group of players, with bugs being reported, fixes being made, and new builds being pushed daily. But a relatively small group of testers can only find so much.
Early Access puts the game into the hands of many more people. More players means more saves, more situations we haven't encountered and, crucially, more feedback.
That feedback will help us find bugs, improve balancing, refine existing features and shape the game as we continue building it.
We want to set expectations properly from the beginning.
Early Access is exactly that: early access.
There will be bugs. Things will change. Some areas will need more work than others, and we'll continue adding, improving and refining things as development progresses. Updates and fixes are currently being made daily, and that should continue once Early Access begins.
There may also be occasions where an update affects save compatibility. We'll always try to avoid that where possible, but sometimes larger changes during development will make it unavoidable.
One of the most important parts of Early Access will be hearing from the people actually playing the game. There's a Report Bug function built directly into the game, making it easy to tell us when something isn't working as expected.
Found a bug? Report it.
Something doesn't look right? Report it.
Something doesn't feel like non-league football? Tell us.
Every report helps.
We'll also be listening to feedback from the community as we decide what needs improving and where we take the game next.
Our Steam page might have been quiet, but development certainly hasn't been.
That's going to change over the coming weeks. We'll be sharing more of the game here, talking about what we're working on and keeping you updated as we move through Early Access. And most importantly...
You'll be able to play it this month.
Not long now.
