Welcome to this week's Engine Room Dev Log, for the 0.3.0 Patch! This weeks patch rebalances late-game loot rarity and the regeneration rate of the enemy shiels was slowed down, which we felt was a bit quick before, and this now scale with shield size. It also has changes to world generation so you’ll find more Facilities close to the tracks in late game (you’ll need to explore a bit on older saves to get the new facilities to generate, but it will work!)
So far in Early Access, we’ve received so much feedback about what you all do and don’t like in EverRail, and it’s already shaping the game, and will continue to do so. We read all your ideas, all your feedback and every bug report, so please keep sending them and we’ll keep working! You can see more about our upcoming plans here: EverRail - Development Roadmap
Iso Collector II to V can now be crafted at the Glider Fabricator
Higher tiers gather Iso faster, from 125% up to 200%
Every rank has its own attributes, tooltip, name and description
All new names and descriptions are translated into every supported language
Late-game dungeon containers no longer drop far more Rare, Epic and Legendary items than intended
Rarity chances now stay consistent from your first dungeon to max level, instead of drifting as more loot unlocks
Enemy shields regenerate much more slowly and now scale with shield size
A broken shield takes roughly 22 to 30 seconds to come back, instead of 6 to 9 seconds
Late-game facilities are more common and sit closer to the tracks
Fixed clients not being able to join a host's save game when a lot of dungeons and track sections had been scanned
Fixed clients not seeing the host's launched scan drone and its effects
Fixed the eating sound not playing for clients when consuming a food item with a key bind
Fixed tracking or untracking a building or item completing challenges
Fixed the first Refinement challenge counting the Build Refiner objective twice
Fixed the B button on controller not backing out of the inventory and containers
Fixed input prompts getting stuck on previous item
Fixed footsteps inside the train playing too fast while running
Fixed footsteps sounding like they always come from right behind you
Fixed only for newly discovered markers: when opening and closing the map sometimes map markers changed appearance
Fixed the in-game menu losing the mouse cursor in some edge cases
Fixed a bug where multiple iso collectors could be activated at once on the same glider. Activation is now limited to one.
Fixed not all player items appearing in the lootable corpse inventory on death
That’s all for this weeks Engine Room, come back on Thursday for this week’s Conductors Log! We’ll be back next week with another patch, so keep sending in your feedback, either on Steam in our Discussion threads, on Discord in our dedicated bug and feedback channels, or in game with the F2 report tool!
Be Amazing Everyone!
