Upon entering the office room, you may notice that previous occupants have left things like notes or personal belongings scattered around.
By using your tablet on the computer, you can extract data which allows you to read private messages between people in Hotel Samsara - potentially uncovering details that may shape your decisions later on.
The office presents you not only with valuable learning material, but also a practical Experiment to try out for yourself.
In this case, a rat, laid flat on a table with probes inserted into the head and neck.
Documents around you will give clues on the different approaches you can take, based on how you decide to interact with the rat.

And of course, not all information can be found through scattered documents, embrace experimentation and see what happens when you pull at random probes.
The rat is but a taste of the larger Experiment at play.
Crombie’s Experiment.
You find a body hooked up to a machine with brain probes, begging you for help. You follow the voice, pull back the curtain, and discover the rat server.
He asks you a question.
“Are you standing in front of a microphone, or in front of my body?”
Your first decision is to choose whether to tell Crombie the truth or lie about his situation. Are you looking to find ethical solutions? Or do you risk it and probe to uncover the hidden depths of the experiment?
The Experiment was supposed to create a copy of his mind within the rat server in an attempt to find the essence of the human soul, but it didn't go as planned.
According to the mind trapped in the wetware, Crombie’s ‘real’ mind exists in the rat server, while his body remains limp and empty. But is it empty? Can you confidently assume the body has no mind?
From then on, you’re instructed to transfer the ‘real’ Crombie from the wetware, back into his body.
But here you must ask yourself, how will you proceed?
