We’re excited to officially open the Steam page for Neosis Echoes.
For the past nine months, our core team of just three people has been building the foundations of Varos: its world, combat, survival systems, exploration, crafting, abilities, emotional mechanics, and the story behind Evan Draxell.
Today, we’re sharing our first Dev Preview.
This isn’t a trailer (we are currently working on it) or a final representation of the game. It’s an early look at one specific part of the experience: action, combat and gunplay.
In this first preview, you’ll get a glimpse of exploration, weapons, abilities, movement and some of the creatures and machines you’ll encounter on Varos.
But combat is only one part of Neosis Echoes.
At the heart of the game is a systemic emotional layer built around three dimensions:
Mood. Stress. Focus.
They react to what happens around you and influence survival, combat, perception and, over time, the world itself.
We’ll be revealing these systems progressively through future Dev Previews, along with crafting, survival, exploration, your drone companion K.I.T., the world of Varos and more.
Eventually, all of these pieces will come together in our first full trailer, with a much stronger focus on the emotional system at the core of the game.
Neosis Echoes is still in pre-alpha, so everything you see is a work in progress. Visuals, animations, UI, balancing and gameplay systems will continue to evolve.
This is only the beginning.
If you like what we’re building, wishlist Neosis Echoes on Steam and follow the game to keep up with future development updates.
Thank you for being here this early.
Leila from the Neosis Echoes Team 💙
