Patch Notes - Mining Profession Overhaul, Fishing Updates, BugFixes and More!

Added:

• Mining Profession Overhaul

  • Added mining quarry for Tier 1-3 (more will be added in future updates). Mining quarries are a stationary area in the world. Quarries have rocks that cycle between being normal and glittering. Mine the glittering rocks for better loot and exp. Additionally, the mining quarries have a large quarry rock which becomes active every 30-45 minutes. Fully mine the cracked large rock before the timer expires to gain access to an even better rock node that provides higher exp, a chance at braxite and rock chunk drops as well as a small buff that grants mining power for a moderate duration (duration depends on the tier of the quarry rock).

  • Added calcic ore. Calcic ore is a Tier 1 precious metal which can be used to make a ring that gives cart speed. More uses to come in the future. Calcic ore is acquired through prospecting similar to the other precious metal.

• Added “Heavy Swing”. Heavy swing is a mining ability unlocked at level 5. Heavy swing gives +8 mining power for a moderate duration but costs stamina. It is especially useful for resources with limited times or hits like prospecting or quarries.

• Magnetic rocks can now spawn as placeables when mining stone boulders. After collecting them, magnetic rocks allow the player to do a very short (single step) prospecting run which gives a high amount of exp and more ore drops

• Added sift collectors. Sift collectors can be placed in the water to collect river muck which can be processed at a mining work station. River muck yields sand with a chance to yield ore, precious metal nuggets or other various loot!

• Geode cargos no longer drop from boulders or ore veins. Instead, geodes can pop off of rocks as “placeables” which can be harvested for a gem as well as a bunch of exp

• Fishing Profession Overhaul Continued

  • Added a Quest for introducing trophy fishing

• The largest trophy fish of each tier now gives a one time knowledge unlock which grants stats. Try to collect them all!

• The rarest “one that got away” fish of each tier now gives a one time knowledge unlock which grants stats. Try to collect them all!

• Added several new fishing equipment drops which come from fishing nets and lobster traps

  • Bobbers, a fishing instrument focused on crit, now drop from fishing nets from various tiers

  • Chitin, which can be turned into chitin hooks now rarely drops from lobster traps. Chitin hooks provide fishing power

• Reduced craft time for bait and shells dramatically at all tiers to match T1

• Reduced the distance requirement for placement between fishing nets and lobster traps by 50%

• Added 5 new Facial Hair options purchasable from the twins

• Updated icons for Fishing abilities and debuffs

• Added the Current Biome under the minimap

• With the summer event ending ice chest maps no longer drop, The spending of them to find the ice chest will remain available for some time.

Fixed

• Fixed 2 memory leaks

  • One from not cleaning up memory when reconnecting to the game

  • One from not fully cleaning up the terrain mesh of the previous region when region transferring

• Fixed the progression tab in the compendium not filtering the right profession for prospecting and abilities

• Fixed over a dozen of the most common exceptions that are thrown on the game client

• Fixed a layouting issue with the buffs and debuffs UI causing them to mess up when a lot of buffs are present

• Fixes the soda buffs (and pina colada) having multiple buffs of the same category overriding each other.

• Fixed model of T7 Ocean Fish not being assigned correctly

• Fixed the recovery chest not working on the center and seasonal regions
