It’s been over a week since we revealed our new trailer, shared our partnership news with Raw Fury and released our updated demo. We have been so excited with the reception so far to Hillthorn!
What is Hillthorn?
Hillthorn is an eerie detective mystery set in a remote mountain community where it seems everyone has something to hide and you get the impression that outsiders aren’t as welcome as it might appear.
There’s an unsettling feeling that does not seem to fade as you delve into the case you were hired for. Olivia and Jeremiah are missing, could they have just got lost on the mountain paths? Something in your gut tells you there is more to it than that.
Once you cross the threshold into Mount Hillthorn strange things begin to unfold, time works...differently here and once the clock strikes midnight you find yourself once again at the edge of the woods, but you now know more than you did before but not enough to solve this case...yet.
You need to go back, day after day, unravelling the mystery as you go working towards discovering what became of Olivia and Jeremiah before it’s too late.
Delving Deeper
Each time you approach a new day in Hillthorn you will bring with you the knowledge that you amassed on days prior. Items you collected might fade away, but shortcuts and insights will enable you to delve deeper into the case. Each day leads you closer to closing this case, one way or another.
Hillthorn’s unique approach to storytelling expands on the mystery, reveals clues and motivations through the cards you uncover and progress is made through the decisions you make in the time allocated to you.
Gather knowledge, explore, talk and listen to the villagers you encounter and be smart about it because the choices you make can shape the outcome of this case.
