OMSI Berlin Line 186: New Screenshots of Steglitzer Kreisel and Release Video

With a new set of screenshots and the official release trailer, there are now even more insights into the upcoming OMSI add-on Berlin Line 186.

The latest preview focuses on the Steglitzer Kreisel, one of the most distinctive sections of the route and one of the best-known landmarks in southwest Berlin.

The building complex at Rathaus Steglitz is among the most striking transport-related structures in the area. Particularly unusual is the integrated bus facility, as part of the bus traffic actually enters the building itself. A bus station located inside a building is a genuine rarity, even in Germany, making this location especially interesting both for real-world bus operations and for its implementation in OMSI.

For Line 186, the area around Steglitzer Kreisel plays an important role. Rathaus Steglitz is a major transport hub with connections to the U-Bahn, S-Bahn, and numerous bus routes. In the OMSI add-on, this section therefore represents one of the most notable points along the route. The latest screenshots showcase not only the iconic high-rise building itself but also the unique traffic situation, the entrance and exit ramps, and the atmosphere of this well-known Berlin location.

In addition, the official release trailer for OMSI Berlin Line 186 is now available on our YouTube channel. The video features moving scenes from the entire route between Lichterfelde Süd and Grunewald Station, providing a comprehensive look at the new OMSI 2 expansion.

One of the highlights is once again the famous Steglitzer Kreisel. A particularly unique feature is the bus stop located in the basement level of the building complex. On certain schedules, buses drive directly into the building to serve the stop—an element that has never before been featured in OMSI 2.

However, Line 186 offers much more than that. With more than 40 stops, it is one of the longest urban bus routes in southern Berlin. Depending on traffic conditions, completing the full route takes approximately 60 minutes, closely reflecting real-life operations.

The journey passes through a wide variety of urban environments, making Line 186 a route full of contrasts. It begins at Lichterfelde Süd, on the edge of the well-known Thermometersiedlung housing estate, a symbol of 1970s urban development. From there, the route passes the Stadion Lichterfelde and follows the Teltow Canal through diverse residential and commercial districts.

Another highlight is Steglitzer Schloßstraße, one of Berlin’s most important shopping streets. Dense traffic, large intersections, and prominent commercial buildings characterize this section of the route. Further along, the line leaves the densely built-up urban areas and reaches the Grunewald district. Elegant villa neighborhoods, spacious green areas, and quiet streets create a completely different atmosphere before the journey finally ends at Grunewald Station.

The release of OMSI Berlin Line 186 is still planned for June 2026. If no unforeseen issues arise, the add-on is scheduled to be released on Steam during calendar week 26.

Owners of the Steam version of OMSI Berlin X10 will be able to purchase Berlin Line 186 as part of a discounted Steam bundle. Users of the boxed version and the previous download version can also exchange their serial number for a Steam key until the end of 2026, allowing them to benefit from the bundle discount as well. Further information and instructions are available via the provided links.

The latest screenshots of Steglitzer Kreisel and the official release trailer offer a detailed look at the new OMSI expansion and showcase the diverse route between Lichterfelde Süd and Grunewald in its current state. Those who do not want to miss the release can already add OMSI Berlin Line 186 to their Steam wishlist and will be automatically notified once the add-on becomes available.
