The next update is by far the biggest update to MineMogul yet.
We're adding an entirely new processing line for converting Sulfur into Explosives.
WARNING: Handle with care. Risk of massive chain reaction of explosions!
There are a few more machines in addition to the ones in the sulfur processing line
We recently released the "Mega Optimization Update", which increased fps a lot.
However, I've done a lot more optimization and increased the FPS a lot more with high object count:
The 3800 object save file originally had 3 fps, now it has 50 fps. In the next update it has 145 fps.
MineMogul is able to handle 10,000 physics objects at 60 fps on the Steam Machine in the next update.

Doing these optimizations allow us to continue expanding the game and adding more content.
Previously, we hit a limit as to how many auto-miner spots we could have in a single map. If we added more auto-miner spots, it would create too many physics objects and cause the FPS to become too low.
Now, we can have a lot more auto-miner spots with more resource to mine!
Major optimizations include:
Switching from Unity's built-in render pipeline to URP.
Converting the viewmodel to be a render feature instead of a second camera
Async physics simulation, it now runs on a worker at the same time as rendering.
Optimizations to the conveyor logic, including converting it to run on burst.
Batch physics velocity read/writes.
Many other small optimizations
🤓
These new optimizations allow us to continue expanding the game, adding more machines and more resource types. The main limitation with MineMogul
We're planning on adding a new map with this update. It will likely be much bigger than the other maps, with more progression, better ore distributions, etc. We haven't started working on it yet though, so there's nothing to show off at this time.
The new Basalt biome is planned to be added to both of the existing maps and the new one.
The quests are being reworked to track against the total amount of items you've ever deposited, instead of only counting the items that have been deposited while the quest is active.
So, if you deposit a drill bit early, it'll still count towards the quest. This also makes the final Mogul quests require a lot less waiting.
We're likely going to be increasing the price of MineMogul on Steam. Either before or shortly after this mega update.
If you already own the game, no need to worry, nothing changes for you! :)
We're also working on more things like:
Music
Potential lore
Translating to Turkish & Czech
Steam Achievements
More exciting stuff to be revealed later!
Thanks for playing MineMogul! We look forward to all your feedback in the Steam Discussions and Discord.
