The biggest update yet for The King's Bargain has arrived! You can now gather your friends, form a party of up to four players, and explore Moore together through Steam Online Co-op.
Online co-op for up to four players
Create or join Steam lobbies and invite your friends
Shared enemy and boss XP
Personal loot for every player
Shared party stash
Revive fallen teammates by holding the interact key
Synchronized quests, bosses, abilities, pets, livestock, and world events
Player names, health bars, and party portraits
Single-player adventures now begin with two heroes. Switch between them at any time using Tab. The hero you are not controlling will follow you and fight alongside you. Each hero has their own:
Equipment
Stats and health
Skill tree
Active abilities
If your active hero falls, control automatically transfers to the surviving hero.
The new Blacksmith system allows you to permanently improve your equipment.
Upgrade items directly from your backpack or equipped gear
Upgrade limits based on item rarity
Compare items against your currently equipped gear
Preview the DPS gained from weapon upgrades
Upgrade multiple levels at once
Use Coin, Copper, Pure Metals, and Obsidian for higher ranks
The crafting interface has been completely redesigned. Search and filter recipes, view missing materials, preview crafted items, prioritize recipes you can make, and craft up to ten items at once.
Heroes can now equip two skill books at the same time. The second ability uses R by default, has its own cooldown, and can be rebound from the Settings menu.
Several abilities have received major gameplay and visual improvements.
Dragon Breath is now a real forward-facing cone of fire
Heal can restore nearby party members
Guardian Aura protects nearby allies
Taunting Roar draws enemies toward the tank
Arcanic Buff increases offensive power
Flowing Buff improves movement, attack speed, and sustain
Sanctuary creates a healing zone for the party
Many large-area abilities now display correctly for every co-op player
Quests now unlock more naturally as you level and progress through the game. Visit the new Contract Board to choose from repeatable, party-scaled challenges. Complete contracts to earn Coin and XP, then return for a newly generated assignment.
Defeating Mortis is no longer the end. After death, Mortis leaves behind a vulnerable cocoon. Destroy it to force an early return—or let the timer expire. Each rebirth makes Mortis stronger, larger, faster, and more dangerous. The cocoon can also summon defenders while you attempt to destroy it.
Cattle now inhabit the world of Moore.
Use a Rope to tether and lead cows
Feed them to improve their health and happiness
Raise calves and grow your herd
Protect loose animals from nearby enemies
Discover rare golden Prize Cows with better rewards
Livestock progress is saved and fully supported in co-op.
Clearer enemy health bars and damage numbers
Special indicators for critical hits and misses
Improved enemy movement and navigation
Smoother player and companion movement
Hold the attack button for continuous combat
More reliable ranged attacks against breakable objects
Improved enemy encounters and dungeon combat density
Boss difficulty now scales with party size and level
Persistent interaction prompts for nearby objects and NPCs
Improved player nameplates, death screens, and revive indicators
Fixed music volume controls
Improved save reliability and Steam achievement tracking
This is one of the largest updates we have ever released for The King's Bargain. Gather your party. Moore is waiting.
