This Playtest update focuses on foundational testing. Thank you for testing VITA while its systems, balance, content, and presentation continue to evolve.

//V00.00.5001//

- The first buggy mess of a game I'm willing to expose to the public.

## Features

- Added the Tool Belt for quick access to scanning, movement, and Vivarium tools with keyboard or controller.
- Added an adjustable gameplay field-of-view setting under Graphics, with support for Main Menu and Pause settings.
- Observation Posts can now continue gathering Vivarium observation data while the player is in Terra or Home.

## Improvements

- Improved deep-water traversal with strong movement resistance and a Water Traversal upgrade that reduces the slowdown.
- Improved land-fauna behavior so animals avoid deep water when moving, spawning, being placed, or returning from a save.
- Control prompts now update to match the active keyboard, mouse, or controller input.
- Tool Belt selections now remain consistent across saves, failed loads, and travel between Terra and the Vivarium.

## New Content

- Added footsteps, individual calls, eating, and rustling audio for whitetail stags, does, and fawns.
- Added scene-specific music, ambience, and entry stingers across the Main Menu, Terra, Vivarium, Home, and loading transitions.
- Added in-game credit notices for supported music tracks when they begin playing.

## Bug Fixes

- Fixed Terra and Vivarium music becoming inaudible during some loading transitions.
- Fixed water checks incorrectly stopping deer on valid dry terrain.
- Fixed failed Continue attempts leaving the Tool Belt HUD in an incorrect state.
- Removed conflicting Catalog shortcuts so D-pad Up consistently controls the Tool Belt.

## Other

- Updated the current Playtest build version to V00.00.5001.
- Catalog access remains available through the existing menu navigation route.
