Demo Patch Notes v0.1.1

Thank you to everyone who has tried out the demo and especially to those who have taken the time to leave a review!

Your feedback on the game so far has been very helpful for letting us know what parts of game you're enjoying the most (shoutout to the music!), areas we can tweak to improve the gameplay and interesting ideas to look at adding in the future. The team has especially enjoyed watching the Twitch streams from a few of you including Charmeleighon, ShadowStew and Gladiator50n!

While feedback has been mostly positive so far, we have heard from our multi-lingual players that some of the localization could be better. We're investigating with our localization provider now to see what can be done to help ensure that the tone and story of Canvas City comes through loud and clear no matter what language you're playing in, so watch this space!

In the meantime, here are a few fixed issues and changes in the latest demo build.

Changelog for v0.1.1:

  • Updated the Gatcha screens so that it formats correctly in aspect ratios wider or narrower than 16:9.

  • UI in the Hangout and Battle screens is now anchored to the center of the screen in aspect ratios wider than 16:9.

  • Removed an inaccessible ramp from level 'Mascot Mayhem'.

  • Improvements to unit shadows.

  • Moving the mouse no longer interrupts camera rotation with keyboard Q and E keys.

  • Panning the camera with keyboard WASD keys is no longer stopped by rotating the camera.

  • Adjusted volume for the SFX of several abilities.

  • Fixed inconsistent behavior when cancelling movement over an obstacle.

  • Fixed the XP not filling on the Crew or Unit Inspect screens.

  • Fixed a soft lock that would occur in the tutorial when selecting a unit past an obstacle.

  • Fixed several errors in Japanese localization.

  • Corrected spelling of 'color' in settings tooltips.

  • Fixed incorrect rounding of abilities ATK values.

  • Fixed text not appearing in game for some Windows regions.
