Happy Monday fellow students of magic! Whether you're an avid celebrator or avoider of this particular weekday, we hope you'll join us in celebrating patch day! The team is currently working hard on the A Touch of Magic update, which introduces plenty of game changing new features and content. In the meantime, we wanted to release a couple of highly requested features and quality of life improvements in this smaller patch. We hope you enjoy!
Mårten, our UI Programmer, has been making his way through a variety of highly requested features and improvements:
Right-Clicking an item now brings up a Contextual Menu where you can quickly Equip, Drop, Split or Swap the item between storage or inventory
Added “Store Similar” button for Chests
"Store All" and "Store Similar" buttons for Chests no longer grab items from the Hotbar, unless used when inventory is empty
AZERTY keyboards and other non-QWERTY keyboards should now work out-of-the-box without having to manually rebind keys.
Added several Controller hotkeys to make crafting and inventory management easier
Improved navigation in Luminaries menu on Controller
Alfie, our VFX wizard, has been hard at work improving spell effects and abilities, so we snuck a few of his latest improvements in with this update.
Added new VFX for Froblins
Added new VFX for Corrupted creatures
Added new ability VFX for Al'uunian Vanguard
Improved Nox VFX
Miguel from the code team has been working on a variety of spawn-related issues and improvements, including a performance optimization for how we handle spawning.
- Reworked spawning logic in Dungeons to avoid situations where you could become overwhelmed by large amounts of enemies
- Familiar Variants and Unique Familiars (Such as Peb) can now be assigned to various workstations
Fixed an issue where certain spawners would not work as intended
Fixed an issue where the Bril Puzzle would not work as intended
Fixed several localization issues
