Hello everyone! FORTUNE FACTORY IS HERE IN 7 DAYS! 🎲
First of all, thank you to everyone who has purchased the game! ːsteamhappyː
Fortune Factory is a smaller project I’ve been working on for the past few weeks (almost months). The game is currently in its initial release phase. For now, it contains only the basic foundation — fragments of what the final game will become.
Over time, Fortune Factory will continue to improve, so let’s go over the current plans for the game, known issues, and other details. ːsteamthisː
The game is meant to be visually simple so that almost any low-end PC can run it — which it currently does. In the future, I want to slightly improve the visual side of the game: add textures and better UI elements.
Right now, the game has no optimization features, which may cause performance drops (FPS issues). Optimization is definitely something I want to focus on to make the game run smoother.
The game currently has a simple “video-style” story, which I will adjust later to match the final version.
I plan to add more core mechanics to the game. Possibly new areas, a character customization shop, or maybe even delivering boxes to clients around the city by car? I’m still figuring out what would be fun, feasible, and beneficial for the game.
One thing I’d really like to implement is Steam integration — whether Steam Cloud saving or more likely Steam Achievements.
The current price at release is 7.5 EUR. The game took a lot of my time, and I felt this price was fair. However, once the game expands with a major updates, I will probably increase the price slightly — nothing drastic, just a few percent. After all, the game will grow both in content and in the time I invest into it. :D
So if you like the idea of the game but the current execution isn’t fully convincing yet, consider buying it now while the price is at its lowest.
Of course, I’ll occasionally throw in some nice discounts. We all love those — and I understand that even the 7.5 euro can be a lot for some people. 😘
There aren’t many bugs I’m aware of…
First, I know that when you throw the mini-dice onto the conveyor belt, it can get stuck in a box (which stops box production).
Second, I know that in the ESC menu under Keybinds, a few control buttons are missing.
So here they are just in case:
Q – Shows Achievements
C – Enables/Disables cursor
+ / - – Camera zoom in/out
R – Resets camera zoom
That should be all for now! See ya! :D
