First of all, thank you so much to everyone who has been playing, leaving feedback and supporting Toy Keeper.
We’ve officially reached Mostly Positive reviews in the last 30 days! 🎉
Our overall rating is still sitting at 67% positive, so if you’ve been enjoying the game, leaving a positive review helps us enormously. And a huge thank you as well to everyone who has already left one — especially those who came back and changed an older negative review to positive after updates fixed their issues. ❤️
Now, onto the next shop.
A third shop, built from brass, steam and gaslight, with its own toy range, perks, wardrobe and identity.
You select it just like any other venue, and it replaces the shop in every mode:
Exact
Mass
Free
Endless
Three storeys of galleries surround a huge open central hall beneath a glazed roof, connected by eight staircases and divided into 18 departments:
Locomotive Hall, Brass Workshop, Automaton Row, Teddy Parlour, Motor Court, Menagerie, Aeronaut Loft, Flying Machines, Observatory, Steam Fairground, The Deep, River Docks, Porcelain Gallery, Puzzle Arcade, Parade Ground, Cabinet of Curiosities, Clockwork Zoo and Nursery.
There are 174 shelves to stock.
The shelving follows one unified design throughout the building. Instead of separating departments through completely different furniture, the emporium uses its signage, decoration and stock to give every section its own identity while still feeling like one enormous shop.
The emporium isn’t just scenery.
A huge beam engine turns in the central well.
A locomotive continuously runs around its track.
A massive airship hangs beneath the glass roof.
And the clock above the highest gallery actually keeps time.
The whole building is designed to feel alive.
The Steampunk Emporium introduces:
375 toys across 37 shelves.
With all colour variations included, a completely stocked Exact shop contains 2,694 toys.
The range includes locomotives, steam crawlers, motor cars, sleds, airships, hot-air balloons, flyers, mechanical birds, submarines, divers, deep-sea creatures, tugboats, treasure chests, wind-up robots, gadgets, clockwork pets, wind-up ducks, brass dinosaurs, insects, safari animals, woodland creatures, slow animals, mythical creatures, teddy bears, dolls, bell jars, clowns, tin soldiers, carousels, music boxes, rocking horses, orreries, lamps, brass tools, blocks, puzzles and kitchen toys.
The prize machine also receives a completely different perk pool inside the Emporium.
Grappling Hook
Hold left click to fire a brass hook. You’ll be pulled towards it for as long as you keep holding.
Detector
Nearby toys belonging to the same family as the toy you’re carrying will float above small brass detector machines.
Radiance
The correct slot for the toy you’re carrying glows white through walls, pulsing like a boiler.
Wind-up Porter
A brass automaton shelves one toy for you before needing to rest. You can have up to three.
Into Place
Press E and a small brass airship carries the toy you’re holding directly to its correct slot. At level three, it can reach anywhere in the building.
Aerostat
Jump and your brass balloon activates, allowing full flight. Space rises and crouch descends.
Magnetic Attractor
Press the middle mouse button and nearby loose toys rush towards you, floating alongside you before automatically entering your hands.
Delivery Zeppelin
The legendary perk.
A zeppelin picks you up and flies you — straight through the building — directly to the shelf that needs the toy you’re carrying.
The Steampunk Emporium also comes with four new outfits, plus a matching version for the toddler.
As with the space suits, your selected onesie influences the smaller accents rather than simply recolouring the entire outfit.
Wool, leather, brass and gaslight.
The update adds 43 achievements.
There is one for every set in the new range, alongside new completion milestones for Exact and Mass modes.
That brings Toy Keeper to a total of:
224 achievements.
The shop's lettering ships with the game. It used to ask your computer for Comic Sans MS and take whatever it had, so signs, the book, the HUD and the floor decals changed face from one machine to the next. Every player reads the same shop now.
Department badges are pictures the game owns in the space store and the emporium too, the way the toy shop's always were. They were drawn with your computer's emoji font, and a machine without it showed an empty white sticker on every shelf for the rest of the session.
Mass lays its stock out over the floor of the shop you are actually in. It was using the toy shop's 24 by 23 metre box in all three, which dropped over a thousand toys into the rotunda's plaza and, in the emporium, on top of the beam engine and down the open well.
Galaxy balls come in their own colours. Every one of them was the same purple whatever the sign said.
Colours read across the whole range: stands, solar wings and lit trim now follow the product's colour, so shelves of star bells, telescopes, clusters, torches and crew figures stop looking like one toy under twelve names.
The line under the crosshair names the fixture a display piece belongs to — the Ferris cabin says "The orbital elevator", not the orbit ring aisle it was sending you to.
Display pieces carry the station's own names in the space store instead of the toy shop's.
Continue continues. A Free run asked the furniture question again on the way back in, on all three maps; the toggle now lives in Settings > Gameplay, where it can be flipped from inside the run, and Continue goes straight back into the world it left.
Co-op works exactly like it does in the other shops.
The host’s selected Steampunk, helpers, perks and outfits are mirrored to every guest.
Your existing saves are untouched, and each venue keeps its own progression.
As always, multiplayer requires everyone to be running the same version of the game.
Thank you again to everyone still playing Toy Keeper and supporting its development.
Reaching Mostly Positive in recent reviews means a lot, and we’d love to push the overall score beyond the current 67% positive as well.
If you’re enjoying Toy Keeper and haven’t reviewed it yet, a positive Steam review is one of the biggest ways you can support the game.
And to everyone who has already reviewed it — or came back after an update and changed their review to positive:
Thank you. ❤️
More Toy Keeper is on the way. ⚙️
