On the afternoon of August 14, the game servers experienced some severe stability issues. We responded immediately with emergency maintenance, and the servers have now been restored to normal. We sincerely apologize to all players affected by this.
The August 14 update includes the following key changes:
1. Adjusted round timer
We received a lot of feedback about excessively long wait times during matches, so we've adjusted the turn timer rules accordingly.
The new round timer is now set to:
60 seconds per turn + 60 seconds of extra time added globally (with an additional 10 seconds added each turn). We hope this new timer will keep thinking time intact while reducing long waits and making the overall match pace smoother.
2. Fixed an issue where players could not gain experience after surrendering
We've fixed an issue where career experience and school experience were not properly awarded after surrendering.
Now, all battles with more than 1 turn will properly settle after surrender, and the surrendering side will be counted as having lost that match.

Business Model Statement:
All gameplay content in Kungfu Card is covered by a one-time purchase. The game's 7 schools and all their cards and techniques are unlocked purely through in-game matches — no additional payment is required. The in-game shop offers cosmetic items only, such as dialogue emotes, character skins, foil cards, and alternate card arts. Players can also earn in-game resources through matches to acquire these items via pulls.
In short: we don't sell schools, cards, or stats — paid content is purely cosmetic.
Going forward, we'll also be adding 3 new schools as free updates, all unlockable through gameplay. For more details on our update plans, check out our EA announcement — we have a full slate of updates ready for the game.
