## What's new
**Vehicle lights and night races**
- Cars now have working headlights, tail lights and brake lights.
- Three headlight modes: **Auto** (on at night, off during the day), **On** and **Off**. Switch with **D-pad right** on a gamepad or **L** on the keyboard. Other players see your mode.
- Each track can set its race hour; in races held at night, every car (AI included) turns its lights on automatically.
- With **volumetric fog** enabled in the video settings, headlights cast visible beams through the fog.
**Dirt and snow on the cars**
- Dust and mud now build up visibly as you drive: splatters that grow and merge, with clean paint between them. The lower body and the crevices get dirty first; the roof stays almost clean.
- Dirty areas have their own rough, matte surface with a little relief, and there is always a light film of dirt on the lower body.
- Dirt builds up at about half the previous speed, so a car gets properly filthy over a race, not in the first lap.
- Wheels get dirty from the tread inwards.
- Snow settles on the bonnet and roof and stays there even if the car rolls over.
**Desert dust**
- The dust cloud behind the wheels is denser and more transparent. It shoots out, slows down quickly and spreads out, like real dust.
- Gravel and small stones are thrown from the wheels again when accelerating or sliding.
- Dust takes the colour of the ground where it was kicked up, so crossing the finish line throws up black-and-white dust.
**Handling: Buggy, Truck and Trophy**
- All three have a higher centre of gravity, a softer rear and lighter driving aids, so they move around more and feel less on rails.
- **Buggy:** less pitching under braking and on landings.
- **Trophy:** steadier; the AI no longer spins out with it.
- **AI:** recalibrated to the new setups.
## Settings
- **Dynamic resolution** now really turns off when you turn it off, with every upscaler.
- **Reset to defaults** on PC now gives native resolution at 100 %, dynamic resolution off and CMAA2 anti-aliasing (High). Your previous choices and the Steam Deck profile are kept.
- If your saved settings used DLSS and it isn't available, they switch to simple scaling instead of failing.
- The **DEV** menu has a new **DELETE DATA AND QUIT** option (with confirmation). It erases saves, settings, wheel profiles, tuning and driving data, then closes the game, which starts next time as a fresh install.
## Known issues
- **Performance with fire:** with several cars on fire at once, performance drops noticeably, especially on Steam Deck.
- **Steam invites:** not yet tested between two real accounts; please report if accepting doesn't take you into the lobby. The racing wheel can't accept an invite (use Steam's overlay instead).
- **VR controllers page:** not yet tested on a headset. Index has no grip or Y buttons and Vive has no Y or stick clicks, so actions mapped to those do nothing on those controllers.
- **AI in the wet:** the AI drives the same in wet and dry conditions; its pace still needs tuning.
- **Storms:** a wind-fog effect is disabled for now.
- **CMAA2:** in VR and split-screen, a seam may be visible between views.
- **Weather in multiplayer:** only the host can change it.
- **Language:** the game still starts in your system's language; pick another in the game's settings (Ajustes → Idioma).
- **Body light glow:** headlights and brake lights on the car body only glow on cars whose light mask has been painted; the light beams work on all cars.
