We've been getting some really helpful feedback and having some great conversations with y'all, so we just pushed our 1.0.3 patch which includes (in addition to some smaller tweaks/fixes):
I honestly just wasn't expecting so many people to be interested in 100%ing the game, but I absolutely agree that it is way too difficult and separated from the rest of the game to warrant an achievement. As part of this update, anyone who had every achievement except for the torment mode achievement before the patch WILL RECEIVE THE TRANSCENDENTAL INVERTEBRATE ACHIEVEMENT UPON OPENING THE GAME. So get in there and claim your rightfully earned reward :D
Instead of an achievement, you'll get a FANCY NEW PLAQUE on your wall commemorating your amazing performance if you complete the wormhole on torment mode. If you've already completed it, the plaque will be waiting for you the next time you open the game!
