Steam Cloud Save Security Warning

NavalArt · published 26 Aug 2026, 08:24 UTC

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

The current NavalArt save system does not support separating save data by Steam account. There is only a single local save file shared by all users on the same computer.

If you launch the game using multiple Steam accounts on the same computer while Steam Cloud Saves is enabled, the local save data may be overwritten by an empty cloud save uploaded by another account. This action cannot be undone.

【If you regularly use multiple Steam accounts on the same device, DO NOT launch NavalArt from another account!!!】

It has been confirmed that even after disabling Steam Cloud Saves and restarting Steam, your save data may still be overwritten by a blank save!!!

Under any circumstances, we still strongly recommend that players regularly make manual backups of their local save data.

We are currently developing a system to separate save data by Steam account. To ensure compatibility between the new save system and older versions of the game, we need additional time for design and internal testing. We cannot rush out a fix at the cost of exposing more players to the risk of losing their saves.

The new account-based save isolation system is expected to enter public testing as early as next week and will be officially enabled after its security and reliability have been verified.
