Dev Update - August 19, 2026

Quick one from the workshop. It's been a busy week behind the scenes - a new build just went out to our beta testers and content creators, and here's what's in it.

Twitch Integration

Minimon lives in a small square window that sits beside whatever else you're doing - which, it turns out, is great for a stream. You can now link your Twitch account from Settings and let chat in:

  • Chat joins the horde - viewers type !join and their name lands on the next enemy to hit the field. The streamer fights their own chat.

  • Name That Capture - catch a Minimon and chat votes on its nickname. The winner sticks — permanently, through every evolution.

  • Stream moments - raids, subs, gift subs and cheers pop up as in-game toasts.

  • Channel Point rewards (Affiliate/Partner) - viewers can send a named Elite into your next wave, summon a capturable Minimon, or rain gold on your party. The game creates and manages the rewards on your channel for you.

Every feature is opt-in, and the game never sees your password - linking goes through Twitch's own device-code flow.

Raids, rebuilt

All 15 raids have been regenerated on one shared scaling formula instead of fifteen hand-tuned one-offs: 20 waves each, a boss closing out every wave with the big fights at 5 / 10 / 15 / 20, checkpoints along the way, full evolution lines in every roster, and each raid finally playing its own path's music. Squads are three Minimon, early waves are gentler and ramp from there.

Mid-run respawn

A Minimon that falls mid-run now comes back after a timer - longer each time that same Minimon goes down - with a cooldown dial over its portrait. Works in Raids, Paths and Endless. A death is a setback, not the end of the run.

Active abilities you aim

  • Axe - click up to four enemies in 15 seconds for true damage that ignores armor and dodge.

  • Dark Pull - click a spot and every enemy on the field is dragged into it.

  • Blight - curses and weakens everything it touches.

Newly unlocked abilities drop straight into your HUD, and ability visuals now render at the size they were always meant to.

Items & inventory

A new filter/sort panel with five tabs covering every item stat, and a Sell All that sells exactly what you've filtered (with a confirm, and never what your current Minimon is wearing). A balance pass across early, mid, late and raid items - and the infamous 600–800% move-speed stack is fixed.

Quality of life

  • Esc closes any open window; Exit asks before quitting.

  • Volume sliders and mute now apply instantly, even to sounds already playing.

  • Screen shake on captures (extra for shinies), boss spawns and Epic/Legendary drops.

  • A first-capture tutorial, a rebuilt Adventure Forge panel, consistent ALL CAPS UI, and cooldown tooltips that respect your Cooldown Reduction.

  • Shiny Minimon keep their shine through evolution.

  • French, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese updated for all the new content.

Plus a stack of fixes under the hood: saves get an automatic backup before any migration, charge abilities no longer slide across the ground, the guaranteed first item drop is actually guaranteed, and more.

What's next

Balance feedback from this beta round, proper axe art for the new aiming cursor, and on-screen visuals for status effects. If you'd like to help test — or stream it — come say hi on Discord.Wishlist Minimon if you haven't yet, and thanks for following along!
