Dear Junkers! 🔧

This update focuses on fixing a number of issues reported by the community while continuing to improve the overall gameplay experience. We've spent time refining quest flow, polishing vehicle restoration, improving visual consistency, fixing several long-standing bugs, and making the game more accessible for players across all supported languages.

As always, thank you for all your reports and suggestions. Every update brings Junkyard Simulator one step closer to the experience we're aiming for.💪

⚙️ Quest & Gameplay Improvements

  • Added a new guidance arrow during the Tow Truck upgrade quest, making it much clearer what the player needs to do while upgrading the flatbed to transport two wrecked vehicles.

  • Improved the objective description for the Fast Travel Board quest. The instructions are now more detailed and easier to understand, helping new players progress through the tutorial more smoothly.

⚙️ Vehicle Restoration Improvements

  • Fixed an issue with Mercury windshield restoration where the cleaning stage could fail to register correctly despite the glass already being fully cleaned.

  • Fixed a looping spray sound that could continue playing while cleaning vehicle windows during the restoration process.

  • Fixed an incorrect texture displayed on the front left fender headlight area of a fully restored Mercury.

  • Fixed texture issues on the hood of the fully restored Blue Car, improving the overall visual quality after renovation.

  • Fixed the white outline that appeared around the decorative side stripes on the restored Blue Car.

  • Fixed an issue where the Pickup 1950 could appear fully restored after loading a save, even if the player had not yet completed its renovation.

  • Improved flashlight positioning while restoring both vehicles and workshop items. The flashlight will no longer slide downward while using restoration tools, making work much more comfortable in darker environments.

⚙️ World & Environment Improvements

  • Added full localization support for the large world map. All location names displayed on the map are now translated into every supported language.

  • Fixed the visibility of the 3D Fast Travel icon, which could disappear when approaching the renovation area from the storage side.

  • Fixed an issue where the purchased workstation on the Service Parcel could remain invisible even after hiring an employee.

  • Fixed the invisible wall issue in Sector E of the Junkyard. Entering through the doorway no longer causes the wall behind the player to disappear.

⚙️ Bug Fixes & General Improvements

  • Continued improving overall gameplay flow by addressing several reported issues affecting quests, restoration mechanics, and player guidance.

  • Fixed multiple visual inconsistencies related to vehicle restoration.

  • Improved overall stability of several gameplay systems.

  • Applied additional polish based directly on community feedback to provide a smoother and more consistent gameplay experience.

Behind the Scenes

This update includes one of the largest technical overhauls in the game's history. Major systems responsible for restoration, weather simulation, environmental rendering, world streaming, and performance management have been reworked and optimized to deliver a smoother, more immersive experience for all players.

As always, thank you for your feedback and continued support. More content, features, and improvements are already in development.

Important Development Update

I would like to share an important update regarding the future of the game. Over the coming months, update frequency will likely slow down significantly.

This is because I have started work on a major redesign of several core gameplay systems, including the game's opening experience, player progression, and a number of fundamental mechanics that have been part of the game for a long time.

As the project has grown over the years, it has become increasingly clear that some systems need more than incremental improvements. To take the game where I want it to be, I need to step back and rebuild certain foundations properly rather than continue patching and expanding old solutions.

This means that development will be focused less on frequent content updates and more on large-scale restructuring behind the scenes. As a result, there may be periods of several months without major public updates.

I know this may be disappointing for some players, and I sincerely apologize for the longer wait. However, I firmly believe that these changes are necessary for the long-term future of the game and will ultimately result in a much better experience for both new and existing players.

In many ways, parts of the game need to be rebuilt almost from scratch. It is a significant undertaking, but it is the right step forward.

Thank you for your patience, support, feedback, and trust throughout this journey. The game is not being abandoned — quite the opposite. The work happening now is aimed at building a stronger foundation for everything that comes next.

See you in the next major chapter of development.

The game is constantly being developed — I strongly recommend checking the integrity of the game files!
