Echobreaker is available now on Steam!

The day is finally here, and we're also excited to share the Echobreaker is part of Tiny Teams. Thank you to everyone who played the demo, shared feedback during Steam Next Fest, posted in the forums, or wishlisted the game ahead of launch. We’re excited to finally have Echobreaker out in the world, and we can’t wait to see the times players set!

Echobreaker is a precision speedrunning game built around fast restarts, route mastery, and a simple but dangerous question:

How much safety are you willing to sacrifice for speed?

Across each course, you’ll learn the route, refine your movement, and decide when to sacrifice Echoes to perform jumps, trigger speed boosts, and open up faster lines. Every sacrifice can help you cut down your time, but it also leaves you with less room for mistakes.

Finishing the course is only the beginning. The real challenge comes from shaving seconds off your best time, chasing cleaner runs, climbing the ranks, and entering the flow state where every jump, boost, and shortcut becomes one clean line from start to finish.

What’s included?

Echobreaker launches with a full set of speedrunning features designed to keep you pushing for better runs:

  • Online leaderboards — Compare your times with players around the world

  • Offline leaderboards — Compete against your own previous times, even without an internet connection

  • Red Times — Take on the developers’ own best times in Default Mode

  • Challenge Modes — Test your mastery with Gates, Mines, Targets, and All challenge variants

  • Separate leaderboards for each Challenge Mode

  • Achievements — Mark your progress as you master Echobreaker’s courses

  • Tighter medal times and unlock conditions — Higher rewards now demand cleaner execution

  • Improved level select clarity — Clearer level names and unlock requirements

Launch FAQ

What kind of game is Echobreaker?
Echobreaker is a precision speedrunning game focused on short, replayable courses, fast restarts, route optimisation, and chasing better times.

What are Echoes?
Echoes are a key resource used to perform powerful movement actions such as jumps and speed boosts. Sacrificing an Echo can help you reach a faster route, but it reduces your safety net for the rest of the run.

Does Echobreaker have Challenge Modifiers?
Yes. Challenge Modifiers allow players to raise the difficulty and push their runs further once they’ve learned the routes.

Is there controller support?

Yes, and we'd actually recommend that you use a controller for Echobreaker.

How long is the game?
Echobreaker is built around replaying courses, improving times, and optimising routes. Playtime will vary depending on how far you want to push your runs, ranks, and Challenge Modifiers.

Where can I share feedback or report bugs?
You can share feedback, report issues, or discuss the game with us in the Steam forums.
