Patch Notes 139

Factory Town 2: Paradise · published 21 Sep 2026, 16:58 UTC · build 25441235

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

Misc Improvements

  • Build and Inventory hotbars can now be displayed simultaneously across the bottom of the screen. If you want to disable them, or revert to the older 'toggle' behavior, those options are in Options / Interface / 'Build Hotbar' and 'Inventory Hotbar' (On, Off, or Toggle settings)

  • Can more easily edit Build and Inventory hotbars when the Build Menu or the full Inventory Panel are open. A copy of the hotbar is shown beneath the panel, you can still drag & drop items to the hotbars, but also right-click to clear the slot or left-click to pick what you want to assign there.

  • Added 1st person mode when zoomed in

  • Added slight background behind all the utility buttons at the bottom of the UI.

  • Mini Notifications slide in from the left instead of up from the bottom, so they don’t obscure the new inventory hotbar

  • Can expand / collapse sections in the selected object's menu panel

  • Performance improvements to logic & computation block rendering

  • Boats smoothly change course

  • Added decor purchase buttons directly in build menu

  • Bonfire & Fountain now show up on the Decor panel, not the Buildings panel

  • Overhead camera will subtly change height to match the terrain you are looking at, preventing bug where it was always at the last height the avatar was

  • Villagers without a job have a 50% increased market shopping radius, because they don’t benefit from the additional shopping radius that villagers have based on where they work

A first-person mode screenshot:

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed bug that would break compute block processing: attaching an inventory sensor to a building, then moving the building (or the sensor), and deleting the sensor.

  • Fixed cost & label overlap on purchase confirmation panel

  • Performance improvements when placing Farm or Forester

  • Fixed bug: Terrain modification with large cursor sizes could leave some resources at the wrong height

  • Roads and footpaths are refunded if destroyed as part of terrain modification

  • PageDown clamps the cursor at ocean height for buildings & structures that can’t be built underground

  • Fixed bug: when creating a building, foundation previews were often indicating the foundation would be slanted or on the ocean floor, instead of accurately clamping to the true potential foundation flat height

  • Pipes and Belts will no longer attempt to create connections to buildings that don't make sense - for instance, fluid pipes won't connect to solar panels and conveyor belts won't attach to Flywheels.

  • Link to Wiki is no longer hidden when language is non-English

  • Fixed bug: Glyphs for navigating the tabs of the selected object panel were appearing before the panel had the active cursor

  • Fixed missing label & icon for “Stone Scaffold” decor unlock

  • Fixed bug: Mana Crystal was displayed as available from the very start of the campaign

Cheers!

Erik

Whether you have a Steam Deck or a regular gamepad, the game's input has been overhauled to allow full functionality and easy navigation using these devices. So I've added back a highly-requested system from Factory Town 1: Mana Rechargers! Mana Rechargers take Depleted Mana Crystals, and a little Magic Powder, to produce a reg…
