Realindustry Is Available Now — The Final Dependency Is in Place

[SYSTEM STATUS: OPERATIONAL]
[NIZ-08 ACCESS: OPEN]
[DIRECTOR AUTHORIZATION: GRANTED]

Directors,

Realindustry is available now on Steam.

I have written that sentence in plans, store descriptions, checklists, and private notes more times than I can count. Until today, it was always something that would happen later.

Now it is real.

After years of solo development, the complete version of Realindustry is out. You can enter NIZ-08, build an industrial system from nothing all the way to a Hyperdrive Engine, and discover what the assignment has been hiding from you.

The final dependency is in place

The official launch trailer, The Dependency, is now live.

Every component requires a process. Every process requires a system. Every system requires a Director.

The final dependency is you.

From a personal experiment to a game I can truly call my own

Realindustry began as a personal experiment in my spare time. I wanted to see whether I could build the industrial game I wanted to play: one where steel begins with ore and coke, microchips require ultrapure silicon and clean rooms, nuclear fuel requires enrichment, and even speculative technology still has to grow out of mines, heat, pressure, chemistry, and electricity.

That experiment kept growing. It became 236 materials, 354 production processes, 56 industrial facilities, 146 interconnected research projects, deep automation, an original soundtrack, and a story hidden inside the machinery. More importantly, it became the first game I can truly call my own.

This release is an event I will remember for the rest of my life.

And Realindustry enters launch day with ~11,000 Steam wishlists.

That number is difficult for me to process. From the outside, a wishlist may look like one small click. From where I am standing, it means that thousands of people looked at an unusually serious, interface-heavy game about industrial chemistry and production chains and decided that it was worth remembering.

Somehow, this experiment gathered one of the most curious, patient, technically minded, and frighteningly observant communities I could have hoped to meet. You tested systems I thought were unbreakable. You found details I thought nobody would notice. You explained where the game was confusing, slow, frustrating, or simply wrong — and then returned to see it improve.

Thank you. This project would not be the game it is today without you.

The same project. Almost a different game.

Left: the first version of Realindustry I showed publicly. Right: the release build.

Seeing these two images side by side still feels almost unreal. The central idea survived, but nearly everything around it changed: the interface, automation, progression, research, balance, artwork, sound, narrative, and the way the game teaches its systems.

Between these screenshots are years of experiments, discarded designs, late nights, mistakes, rewrites, and thousands of pieces of player feedback. Realindustry did not simply become larger. It became clearer about what it wanted to be.

What is available today

Realindustry launches as a complete single-player game. The full campaign, all ten technology tiers, automation systems, achievements, story, and its possible outcomes are included in the base game.

  • 236 materials, resources, intermediates, and components, each with scientific or historical context.

  • 354 production processes grounded in real metallurgy, chemistry, electronics, materials science, and power engineering.

  • 56 industrial facilities, from hand crafting and primitive furnaces to semiconductor fabrication, fusion, quantum laboratories, and antimatter containment.

  • 146 research projects across 10 technology tiers, forming one connected route from stone tools to a Hyperdrive Engine.

  • Automation you design yourself through production logic, conditions, loops, branches, synchronization, staffing, and per-building electronic systems.

  • A complete hidden narrative with multiple outcomes for Directors who decide that following instructions is not enough.

The game launches with a 20% discount for its first 14 days, through October 6. Full regional pricing and the reasoning behind it are available in the launch-price announcement:

The assignment is not the whole story

I have hinted at this many times, sometimes less subtly than I thought: Realindustry has another layer.

The demo opened the first door. The full game contains the complete hidden path — sealed records, unusual wording, terminal fragments, things the system says too cleanly, and decisions that may not look like progress at first. You can produce the Hyperdrive Engine, complete the stated assignment, and leave it there.

Or you can keep looking.

There is a true ending. Reaching it requires much more than finishing the production chain, and I will not explain how. I have been waiting a very long time to see someone connect every piece, solve every puzzle, and understand what has really been happening inside NIZ-08.

Honestly, this is one of the things I am most excited about now that the full game is public. I want to know what you think when the pieces finally come together — and I would love to know who reaches the true ending first.

If you believe you found it, come tell me in the Discord. Please use spoiler tags. Let the next Director have the same chance to discover it alone.

The complete soundtrack

For anyone who wants to take the sound of NIZ-08 beyond the game, the full Realindustry soundtrack is also available now: 34 original tracks and more than two hours of music that follow the colony from its first tools to its final discoveries.

The soundtrack is safe for videos and livestreams. It is not registered with Content ID, so creators are welcome to use it while covering the game.

Release is a milestone, not the end of development

I am not leaving Realindustry behind after launch. I will continue fixing bugs, improving UI and UX, refining balance, and making quality-of-life changes in response to your experience with the full game.

Two major free post-release updates are also planned:

  • Mod support. The goal is to let players create their own buildings, recipes, resources, and research, ideally with full Steam Workshop integration.

  • High-Realism Mode. A more demanding simulation with emissions, pollution, environmental consequences, stricter operational constraints, and a deeper realism layer built on top of the existing industrial systems.

These are expansions to a complete game, not missing parts of the launch version. I will announce dates when the work is far enough along to make honest promises.

And after Realindustry?

For the first time, I also want to say publicly what I hope to build in the more distant future.

When Realindustry has received the support, updates, and additions it deserves — when there is genuinely nothing meaningful left for me to do here — I want to make Realindustry 2.

My current vision is a direct sequel set after the events of this game: a fully 3D industrial world that you can physically move through, built on a different engine and driven by the same obsession with realism on a much more ambitious scale. I want physics and chemistry to become systems you actively work with, not merely facts behind a recipe. I want the factory to become a place, not only an interface.

This is not a release announcement, a production schedule, or a promise of scope. It is the direction I want to pursue. Much of what Realindustry earns will be reinvested into that future, although how far the idea can go will depend on what happens from today onward.

The first game comes first. But I wanted the people who brought it this far to know that I am not out of ideas.

To everyone who helped build this version of Realindustry

Realindustry may have been developed by one person, but it was not shaped by one person alone.

Players changed this game. Your reports rebuilt automation, clarified the interface, corrected formulas, reshaped progression, improved the tutorial, exposed performance problems, caught translation errors, and turned vague frustrations into changes I could actually make.

I want the names of the people whose feedback left a mark on Realindustry to exist here, in the release post, as part of its history.

To everyone listed above — and to everyone who played, wishlisted, reported, suggested, translated, streamed, recorded, shared, or simply paid attention — thank you.

If I missed your name, please tell me. A long project creates long records, and an omission would be a mistake, not a measure of your contribution.

Now I want to hear what you think

Until today, almost every conversation about Realindustry was about a fragment: the demo, an unfinished system, an old interface, a balance problem, or a promise about what the full version would eventually become.

Now you can play the whole thing.

I will be waiting for your reviews, your factories, your impossible automation schemes, your criticism, your theories, and — eventually — the first message from someone who found the truth.

Whatever happens after I press Publish, thank you for making this day possible. Thank you for giving this strange experiment your time. And thank you for giving my first game a real audience before it was even released.

Welcome to NIZ-08, Director.

In-game event26 Sep 2026Update 1.1.1: Colonist Automation RebalanceHi Directors, First of all, thank you. I am genuinely grateful to everyone who shared feedback, took part in the poll, described what felt wrong, and suggested ideas for how colonist automation could work better. This update is fully based on that feedback. The main thing I heard was clear: the game is interesting, but the early experience asks for too many repeated actions, and colonist automa…Major update15 Sep 2026Realindustry 1.1.0: Automation, Inventory, UI Scaling & Demo UpdateDirectors, Realindustry Update 1.1.0 is now live for both the full game and the demo. This is one of the biggest updates I have released so far. Instead of only adding more things, I focused on something more important: making the systems clearer, making automation more necessary, and making the game feel more consistent across different setups . A lot of this update comes directly from player…In-game event1 Sep 2026QoL Update: Wide Production UI and Better Automation BalanceHello, Directors. This is a regular Realindustry update, but it is an important one for the way the game feels moment to moment. A lot of the work here came directly from player feedback : too much scrolling inside production, early automation feeling stricter than intended, and several interface details that were technically working but not pleasant enough. Realindustry is still a one-person p…
