Hello, expendable friends! 🤖
Our latest patch, straight outta Gamescom, is here, with changes shaped by your public playtest feedback. We’ve simplified the expedition loop, made it easier to keep your 3D printer fed, and finally taught your robots some moves 🦾
During Gamescom, Apollolol dropped by to say hi and pick up her 3D-printed gift! 🐤
The biggest change in this update! 🔝
We’ve simplified the core gameplay loop: zipline down from the airship, choose a dungeon, and start collecting loot. Each dungeon now has its own quota, which you’ll need to meet by collecting loot inside before you can return to the airship.
Running low on filament for 3D printing on the go? You no longer need to (or can) scrap your precious loot! You can now find filament in dungeons alongside the loot. Keep your printer fed and your valuables intact.
Thanks to your feedback, we’ve made the settings screen easier to use. Adjust your mouse sensitivity, brightness, and the proximity chat volume of your expendable friends.
Because some screams need a volume limit.
Pinging locations with the middle mouse button is still there, but now you can let your hands do the talking too!
Press 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 to point your fellow Expendabots in the right direction, show your appreciation with a cold, metallic thumbs up, or dance on the graves of your expendable friends.
We’re ready to animate your ideas, so tell us which ridiculous emotes your expeditions absolutely need.
We’re worried Expendabots might be literally unplayable without a 6-7 emote. Please prove us wrong. Please 🙏
The feedback button remains active throughout the public playtest. Along with your comments, it sends us a game log that helps us figure out which screws need tightening.
Found a bug? Something confusing? Had a brilliant idea while hiding from something terrifying? Send it our way.
We read everything. Thank you for helping us make Expendabots better!
