A big thank you to everyone who has shared their experiences and reported issues, and for celebrating the launch of Capy Castaway with us this past week! We love hearing about the discoveries, stories, and adventures you’re having on Castaway Island, especially in our Discord. Your feedback helps us keep improving the game! 💛
We’ve released a small update for Capy Castaway focused on squashing bugs, improved performance, and visual accessibility.
Starting a new game now has a pop up letting you set text speed, chromatic aberration, setting two player, and explaining the auto save
Signs that had placeholder text have been replaced
Additional cameras added to look around corners in swamp and amusement park
Loading now auto-advances after 3 seconds if the player doesn't confirm
Added a “text rest duration” slider adjusting how long text stays on screen before disappearing (in addition to text reveal speed)
Player location shows on the Journal Map
Duplicated water aligners on duckweed removed
Journal tabs are interactable from the keepsake page
Soup dialogue no longer drops Capy if being carried by Corvi
Barbary gang now appear in their correct location on Amusement Park in-game map
Fixed shoreline flashing when zooming in & out at the park map
Fixed being able to talk as Corvi during the intro tutorial
LOD stabilisation and removing unneeded LOD
Carryables in Castle are now frozen in place, so you'll see them in place rather than scattered
Mr. Guffin now floats, making it easier to find if dropped in the water
Speaking speed slider rounded to make it a nice even number on controller
Removed grass in places it shouldn't be
Lowered chromatic aberration
Toggled off the second bench in Amusement Park due to auto generated camera looking at the wrong place
We’re aware of the following issues and are currently investigating them:
Some journal entries do not check off when the task is completed
There is audio flickering issue present while walking
Corvi doesn't land while in some conversation, which causes their bubble to move around too much
