Free Update 1.4 Is Live

Hey everyone,

Update 1.4 for The Punchbag Machine is now live on Steam.

This update is focused on making runs feel more intense, especially during later fights and boss encounters. Rounds now include more punches, which gives each fight a stronger rhythm and makes combos feel more rewarding to keep alive.

Bosses have also been made tougher. Their note patterns are more demanding now, so you will need better timing, cleaner reactions, and fewer mistakes if you want to survive them.

What changed?

  • Rounds now have more punches.

  • Boss fights are harder.

  • Note patterns during boss encounters are more demanding.

  • Runs should feel more intense and less empty.

  • The overall pacing has been improved.

I wanted the bosses to feel less passive and more like actual rhythm challenges. They should now put more pressure on you and punish sloppy timing more clearly.

Thanks to everyone who has played the game so far, shared feedback, or tried to climb the leaderboard.

If you already own The Punchbag Machine, the update is free and available now.

Good luck against the machines.
