We'd like to welcome all players who are coming to our game from Steam Next Fest. With so many Demos available, we appreciate the time you've taken to try our game. We are making the first ever soulslike adventure in first-person perspective of this scale.
You'll play as a former soldier of Napoleon who has risen from death with newfound strength. Wield swords, firearms and magical powers to duel against the mutant abominations that were once loyal army men.
Very few games have been built around first-person precision melee combat. The perspective can cause issues regarding sense of space and combat readability. However, it's also a fresh and experimental take on the tried and true, soulslike formula. One that provides a different level of immersion and challenge than anything else in the genre.
If you've played our previous Ghostrunner games, you'll know that we are no strangers to challenging, immersive, first-person games. Ones that don't hold the player's hand and have a great depth of skill expression.
But we also know that those aforementioned issues are very real. That's why we are requesting your help by playing our Demo. In the Demo, there's a survey to assess whether we're going in the right direction with our combat system. You can also comment here on the Steam forums with your impressions or join our Discord server to discuss with other players.
We've already made loads of changes based on player feedback and we will continue to do so as we get closer to our October 13 Release Date.
