If you followed the latest announcement about Our Hero! First, as you may have guessed, I have some good news: the work that has been done for Our Hero! First will also be done for Our Hero! Two!
Indeed, Our Hero! Two is the next in line for its Definitive Edition upgrade!
For those just joining: I'm rebuilding the entire trilogy using mkxp-z, an open-source player for RPG Maker XP, VX and Ace, to give these games the version they've always deserved.
What's changing?
Every improvement from Our Hero! First is coming to Our Hero! Two as well:

✅ Higher resolution (goodbye black bars!)
✅ Massively improved performance (goodbye lag!)
✅ Brand new professional illustrations
✅ Redesigned characters & animations

✅ Lighting effects to enhance the atmosphere of every map
✅ New scripts to remove the clunkiest mechanics
✅ Additional language support
Current status
Our Hero! First is almost done and it will be released soon. Then my full focus will shift to Our Hero! Two. It's a more complex game than the first, so I'm expecting the work to take maybe a little longer, but I'm committed to giving it the same level of care and polish.

A personal note 💙
This trilogy means a lot to me. I built these games from scratch, long before I knew anything about proper game development, and seeing them now running in HD with achievements and Steam Deck support genuinely makes me emotional. I hope you're enjoying the journey as much as I am.
