Welcome back to the campfire, Rebels. Our Wizards have been busy behind the scenes and we’re ready to bring you a suite of fixes, tweaks and general improvements. This has been powered by your feedback, whether in the Discord, on social media or over on Reddit.

Thank you to all Rebels for your support and feedback - Helping us to fix issues and identify improvements to make Talamh a better place. Get back into the action now, and don’t forget to head to Discord where you’ll also find Rebels on all platforms to team up with, and additional Community Challenges.

Our latest patch brings a lot to Talamh, including:

Changes

  • The Corrupted Biomes modifier is now available by default when you unlock Mystic Ordeals - meaning you don’t have to unlock Custom ordeals to disable them. The Boss Rush modifier also unlocks right away.

  • You can now take TWO players into Raken’s Tutorial - play nicely with each other, now…

  • The Campfire Craft ability has been upgraded - because the powerful Ritual upgrading has become the Meta, we’re making sure all options give you a great boost

  • Quick Restart now helps you get back into the fight quickly - in the run information screen, Rebels can now jump straight back to the Hub or quickly restart a new run with the same parameters (you’ll need to have the crystals to re-purchase Trinkets or Inspirations, and it will let you know what that cost is)

  • Companion Re-Spawning - when they fall into a pit, companions will now respawn like the player does, reappearing at the player’s location to fight the good fight once again!

  • Corrupted Biomes are visible on the map from the start - allowing you to plan accordingly from the very beginning of your journey

  • Additional dash canceling - available now for Galandra's last hit of Sword Flurry, Karl's ground Skill, Throw mastery and Ironhead Rush, Brome's Mana Burst, and Cider's ground skill when held

Fixes

  • Copying and pasting a Custom Ordeal code will now give the same parameters (as intended)

  • We’ve fixed an issue that prevented triggering of multiple ritual effects while performing several (chained) Necrotic Waves - Necrotic Wave can now be canceled by any move after an initial period

  • The Interloper now correctly progresses to phase 2 regardless of enemy life modifiers

  • Multiple crash fixes, including one when using Critical Toolbox + Mowing Dash where the number of projectiles per dash action has been limited to avoid gaining more projectiles than the game can handle

  • Azra’s camera issues are now resolved

  • Mynasthar Flask Ultimate triggers now correctly use the Ultimate count

  • Hearthroots no longer offer Craft or Meditate options within the Dead Tree ordeal

  • Gong of Audacity is now working as intended

  • Corrupted Biomes will no longer spawn in multiplayer unless both players have unlocked them

  • Runic Saddle and Past Echo will no longer spawn usable elite mounts

  • Enemies will no longer spawn out of bounds in the Bathhouse or Castle Keep (previously happening due to enemy multipliers set at high values)

  • Morta Mima can no longer be injured by Chrono Lock when she shouldn’t (and we’ve made sure her Phase 3 is working as intended)

  • Azra will now properly progress to Phase 2 even when defeated quickly

  • The Tinker Blade now correctly pierces through enemies

  • Inspirations are now correctly shared in two-player

  • Bandit Chief attack freeze timing has been corrected

  • Inspirations are no longer shared between players

  • We’ve fixed some issues where player could die even with assist mode set to 0 damage taken

  • Training Grounds marked as Corrupted Regions on the map will now actually be Corrupted Regions

  • Music will no longer reset between transitions

  • The Goblin Taunt sound effect will now correctly follow the global volume control

  • Brome will no longer be duplicated when meeting him for the first time

  • When corrupted, the Armory level will now have the correct purple arrow at the entrance

  • The upper-center door on Asterios will now give rituals as intended, even when corrupted (obviously accounting for player’s modifications)

  • Ignoring the Merchant in Crater’s Edge will no longer cause a softlock

  • Rituals are now correctly highlighted even when on a mount

  • Gnoll traps will now correctly activate, reducing bugs caused by failed triggers

  • Player Two will now correctly contribute to Wisshelm’s missions in local co-op

  • Brome’s Telekinesis throwables are no longer lost when breaking level destroyables

  • Gadgets summoned by a converted Cider the Scarecrow (using Infinity Mirror) will no longer hit the player or summoned companions. In addition, converted Exiles will no longer die immediately after conversion.

  • Morta Mima and Hagen’s bone attacks are now telegraphed correctly

  • Elite Mushroom Mercenary charge attacks are now working as intended

  • We’ve fixed clash inconsistencies during The Big Fight™

  • Brome’s aerial strike now correctly triggers the Burning Strike effect.

  • We’ve fixed a softlock possible after defeating the Tutorial boss

  • Allies are now able to use mounts, and all characters can correctly mount mounts while on stairs

  • Azra Troopers’ swing attack detector has been adjusted to connect properly, and Troopers without a shield no longer use Elite Trooper moves

  • Proximity Sparks can no longer trap the Rampart-area Dragon into an infinite loop

  • Time Mox now applies to weakening lock

  • Entering the ship’s cabin while on a mount will now work correctly on the first try

  • We’ve fixed the pushback numbers for the upgraded Wave Arcana ritual

  • The Gnoll Trap area no longer breaks when you have high movement speed.

Arcana Tweaks

  • Karl’s Firestorm bullet has an additional hit, closer to the blunderbuss, and Javelin has an improved hitbox

  • Galandra’s Reaper Cyclone does more damage, and Dark Helix has more maneuverability

  • Brome’s Energy Ball casting time is faster, with increased area of effect and damage.

Tweaks and Balancing

  • Jaroba’s Beast fight rebalanced to ensure it doesn’t drag with Enemy Life modifiers

  • The Legion Ordeal now spawns fewer Elite enemies

  • Corrupted Biomes have been balanced, reducing difficulty in Grandery while buffing it in Jaroba, Yeldrim, and Asterios

  • Mushroom companions’ failed throw frequency has been reduced

  • The Twisted Horror’s laser attack duration and cooldown have been tweaked to give you a chance

  • Fiery Ring has been balanced, reducing height but increasing impact

  • The Rising Drill attack’s invincible frames have been extended to the whole move

  • Karl’s Headbutt and Rocket Dwarf can now earn Mana

  • The Lizard King and Azra’s Dive Attack can now be clashed

  • The Underking no longer follows up after being clashed

  • Prices for Mother’s Grace and Spark of Power have been lowered

  • Corrupted Regions can no longer spawn on unavoidable paths, and the default number of Corrupted Regions within Grandery is now 1

  • Blazing Trail damage has been buffed

  • Non-boss Dead Guardians life has been reduced

  • Elite enemy life multiplier has been slightly reduced

  • Cider’s Vortex Grip range has been improved

  • Dark Karl boss has been balanced

  • Karl and Cider’s mana gain from Ultimates has been balanced.

  • Crush tip is now included in the museum
