Warehouse Expansion Update

Hello everyone!

With the addition of walk-in freezers and the growing Butchery system, I know many warehouse layouts are now requiring more space.

Rather than adding only four or five expansions and revisiting the same problem with every future content update, I decided to open up the entire remaining backstore area. The warehouse has now been expanded to its originally planned size, providing significantly more room than the current product catalog requires.

This additional space should comfortably support future departments, new products, external mods, and the planned official mod support.

Warehouse Expansion

  • The total number of warehouse expansions has been increased from 29 to 54, adding 25 new expansion areas.

  • 4 new loading docks have been added and can be unlocked through the new warehouse expansions.

  • A new door has been added between the warehouse and the store.

    • It unlocks after purchasing both Storage Growth Level 34 and Warehouse Growth Level 10.

  • One structural pillar has been removed to provide more space for pallet rack placement.

  • Cable and pipe collisions have been disabled in the warehouse, making furniture easier to place in certain areas.

  • Various issues involving the new warehouse expansions and loading docks have been fixed.

Butchery Improvements

  • Butchery logic has been improved to prevent several potential issues.

  • Restockers now ignore trays placed on cutting tables and meat grinders.

  • Tags have been removed from processing trays.

  • Restockers no longer attempt to refill prepared meat products or complain when they cannot refill them.

  • Butchery refrigerators now come with fully stocked trays, without any empty tray slots.

  • A pause option has been added for Butchers.

  • Prepared meats can no longer be placed on cutting tables.

  • Products can no longer be placed directly into furniture output trays.

  • A clearer error message is now displayed when attempting to place products into reserved output trays.

Additional Improvements

  • German and French translations have been improved.

  • Platform carts can now unload while colliding with trash containers, making bulk disposal easier.

What’s Next?

The warehouse improvements will not end with this update.

I am aware of the difficulties many players have experienced while operating the Reach Truck. A new High Pallet Stacker, based on equipment used in real warehouses, is planned for an upcoming update.

It will work similarly to the existing Pallet Stacker while providing a simpler and alternative way to reach the higher levels of pallet racks. More details will be shared when that update is released.

Following the latest fixes, the Butchery system should also be considerably more stable. Several issues involving Butchers, processing trays, prepared meat products, and Restocker behavior have now been addressed.

I will continue reviewing your feedback and investigating any remaining issues.

Thank you very much for all your reports, suggestions, and continued support.

Have fun!
