As you may have noticed by now, a few months ago SandEEE's development slowed down pretty abruptly. I had just gotten a new job and needed to slow down to get my bearings. I tried to tank through it at first, but that was killing my motivation for the project. So, I ended up taking a long vacation from working on SandEEE. Now that my break is finally over, I've realized that I really need to take a bit of a different approach with the game's deadlines.
In short, I want to drop the hard release-date deadline I've been pursuing. To help lessen the burn of delaying this for so long, I will be keeping the SandEEE demo up to date with the full game. This will let me work on the project with the same passion I initially had for it, and hopefully improve the end product much more than pushing things back over and over.
TL;DR: For the time being, I am no longer going to be enforcing any hard deadlines for SandEEE.
SandEEE's development has been moving quite smoothly now that I am working on the project again. I can pretty confidently say you can expect a new major update before the end of the year. That said, I won't be pulling any all-nighters to ensure this happens. I've spent a lot of time during my break writing up some specs and plans for the rest of the game, and finally think I may be in implementation go mode.
I've also been working hard on rewriting all of the in-game documentation as currently, it is quite bad. This will include specs for things like file formats, settings, libraries, and other parts of SandEEE that were not well documented.
That's all for now! As always, you can follow my progress through the GitHub repo, or join the Discord and ask what's up.
