In this community post, we will be revealing the Early Access Roadmap that showcases updates, polish and additional content for ‘The Cascadier’ throughout 2026, as well as our Game Director and Co-Founder of Enchanted Arcade, Clarke, reflects on the journey leading up to Early Access so far and the future plans for the studio.
Message from Clarke
Hey all, Clarke here, Game Director for The Casacadier and co-Founder for Enchanted Arcade.
First off, thanks for giving us even a second of your time to look at our silly little videogame. It means the world to the team and we are delighted to share our progress. Back in 2024 we started concepting and drawing up ideas for a simple coin pusher game, intending to build a simple and addictive little game loop inspired by Balatro, Peglin and loads of other indie titles that people love to play.
We landed on a light story based game called "The Cascadier". We pulled together a scrappy team of individuals, working part time alongside other projects and jobs to get a basic functional Unity vertical slice done, and we achieved our goal in May 2025. Since then we have been trying to find funding, working to get the game to a baseline playable level so we could get to Early Access and actually land full funding to complete development and finish the game to 1.0 by end of 2026.
The team have worked super hard in the short time we have had to get our game into it's late Alpha state it's now in. There are LOTS of bugs, and it's pretty broken in places. Animations, sound and some music are still missing and text needs some work. We are missing abilities, trinkets, even whole levels but we have our plan to add it all in the coming months, we just need to close out our last funding round to do so.
You supporting us with your early access purchase helps us get to that goal, going from Alpha into Beta and finally 1.0. There is lots to do and we want to get it done so you can all enjoy our little game.
