First of all, a huuuuuge thank you to over 100,000 Outbounders on Steam! This is a huge milestone for us, and we’re incredibly grateful to see so many of you enjoying the game. Your support and feedback means the world to us. ❤️
As with every patch, next to the bigger additions we did to the game, we also fixed a couple of bugs and improved general stability and balancing.
Based on your feedback, we’ve added many new colors to the wood customization options. You can now make your home shine in your favourite color! :)

We’ve heard your feedback about ladders and made major improvements to how they work.
First, we’ve added a new way to climb ladders: you can now interact with them to snap directly onto the ladder. This is especially useful when climbing from above. Previously, getting onto a ladder from the top was difficult and often nearly impossible.

You can still simply walk toward a ladder to start climbing. Since many players are already familiar with this behavior, we decided to keep it unchanged.
We’ve also improved ladder snapping detection overall, especially when stepping off ladders, making movement feel much smoother and more reliable.
Previously, movement direction was determined by your look angle. Looking upward meant moving forward would take you up, while looking downward meant moving forward would take you down. We’ve now added a setting that lets you choose your preferred behavior, including an option where moving forward always means up and moving backward always means down.
We added ladder animations for multiplayer!

We hope you’re enjoying the additions and improvements we’ve been bringing to Outbound. Thank you for playing and for being part of the journey! :)
