Jacky 0.6.0 is out! This is the biggest update since launch: two idle games that keep running on your desktop while Jacky plays on his own, a brand new stress-relief minigame, and a much more capable assistant.
🌾 New: Jacky's Cozy Farm
An idle farm docked on your desktop. Jacky does the work, you make the plans.
- Jacky plants, waters and harvests 7 crops by himself, from carrots to starfruit (keep an eye out for giant pumpkins).
- Build and upgrade orchards, beehives, a fishing pond, a windmill, sprinklers, a silo and a little robot helper.
- The kitchen cooks 12 dishes from your harvest automatically. You choose which recipes are allowed.
- A living sky: sunsets, starry nights with fireflies and gentle rain.
⚔️ New: Jacky's Squad
An idle auto-battler where Jacky leads a squad of heroes.
- Recruit a Guardian, an Arcane and a Shadow to fight alongside Jacky.
- Fight through 4 zones and 10 stages, each with 10 waves and a boss.
- 61 enemies to discover in the bestiary.
- 127 items across 6 rarities, from Common to Mythic, plus 8 skills and 4 passives.
- A training shop to grow your squad, and offline rewards waiting for you when you come back.
💥 New minigame: Screen Smash
Had a rough day? Possess Jacky and wreck your screen with 8 weapons, from a hammer and a katana to a flamethrower and a black hole. Smash buttons, images and title bars until you feel better, then press Esc.
No score, no timer. Nothing real is touched: Jacky smashes a snapshot of your screen that never leaves memory, and your desktop is back the moment you stop.
🕹️ Minigame updates
- Zombies: new dog, spitter and female zombies, plus shotgun, ammo and health pickups.
- Glitch Sweeper: new animated bugs, golden bugs and spiders.
- Boss battle: a reworked Shadow Titan and a new spider boss.
🤖 A smarter assistant
- Task Agent: with Burn Tokens on, Jacky can plan and complete multi-step tasks. You set the limits, and a Stop button stays visible the whole time.
- Notes and to-dos: ask Jacky to keep notes or add tasks. Tasks with a due time remind you.
- Memory: ask Jacky to remember something, and he can recall it later.
- Music and volume: play, pause and skip tracks, or change the system volume, just by asking.
- Windows: Jacky can focus an app and type into it, and only types when that window really has focus.
- File reader: Jacky can search and read your documents (text, PDF, Office). It's off by default, limited to the folders you choose, and never opens credential files.
⚡ Quality of life
- Faster startup: Jacky shows up on screen right away while the app finishes loading.
- The right-click menu now shows the global hotkey next to each action (follow cursor is Ctrl+Shift+C).
- The screen element detector now uses an MIT-licensed model. It downloads automatically and your settings carry over.
- Better crash reports, and many fixes for possession mode, settings and screen interaction.
