Build 25711482 is now live! This update adds a playable Story opening, improves co-op connections, and fixes several issues with menus, respawning and first-person perspective.
Begin your shift performing routine maintenance before containment fails in the lower facility.
Experience directed disaster scenes between short playable escape sections, leading to the receiver station and your first assignment.
Learn the controls through two maintenance tasks, with an option to skip the lesson.
The facility is properly lit before the incident. After the breach, emergency conditions make your flashlight much more important.
Existing campaigns keep their progress. Replay the opening from Assignments at the receiver.
Fixed joining a discovered lobby through Browse Active Lobbies.
Fixed valid sessions being rejected with “lobby owner is missing or invalid.”
Fixed Steam callback failures that could produce “reply was never sent.”
Fixed callback compatibility errors encountered under Proton, including the “received 20, expected 24” failure.
Improved failed-join cleanup and connection error messages.
Added an Invite Steam Friends option and lobby-code/ID guidance when the overlay is unavailable.
Restored mouse selection and clicking across the main menus, matchmaking screens and other menu lists.
Raised the first-person camera to match the co-op operative’s eye level, with corresponding hands and flashlight adjustments.
You can now click or press Space/Enter to return from Story death sequences.
Fixed becoming stuck and unable to move after returning to the receiver.
Added stronger save validation, backups and conflict handling.
Added Story save carryover controls for reviewing local and Cloud copies.
Improved protection against replacing personal campaign progress when joining another player.
Joining has now passed live testing with either computer hosting. Hosting on the software-rendered test VM caused severe slowdown for both players; hosting on the main gaming machine performed well. Weak-host performance remains under investigation. Steam invitation flows and cross-device save carryover are still being validated. All co-op players should update and use the same edition; full-game owners must launch the demo to join demo friends.
