Dear players,

With the arrival of the Steam Team RPG Fest, we're releasing a major update focused on performance stability and multilingual support.

Recently, we've seen an increase in reports of crashes. Any stability issue that may prevent players from enjoying the game normally is treated as our highest priority.

After approximately two weeks of investigation, reproduction, and testing, we have identified the primary causes behind the recent crashes and completed a targeted round of low-level performance optimizations.

Crash & Performance Optimization

Based on our investigation, insufficient memory has been the primary cause of recent crashes.

In addition, some dynamic cloth and collision simulations involving characters and environments can place significant CPU load on certain hardware configurations, further affecting stability.

To address these issues, this update includes:

  • Major memory management optimizations, significantly reducing memory usage during gameplay

  • Reduced several sources of high concurrent CPU multithreading load

  • Added High / Medium / Low graphics presets; previously, the game only provided the highest-quality preset

  • Added individual settings for Ambient Occlusion, Texture Quality, and Render Scale

  • Added automatic hardware detection and graphics recommendations, allowing the game to select more appropriate settings based on your hardware when first launched

  • Optimized various scene objects and resources to further reduce runtime overhead

  • Updated our Minimum and Recommended System Requirements based on the latest testing results

We hope these changes will provide a more stable experience across a much wider range of PC configurations.

Updated System Requirements

During this round of performance testing, we stress-tested the game on lower-end configurations, including systems with:

i3 processor + 8GB RAM + 3GB VRAM

At around this level of hardware, the game approaches what we consider the limit for stable operation without significantly sacrificing visual quality.

Based on the current scope of the Enhanced Edition and our latest testing results, we have therefore updated our recommended specifications:

Minimum

i5 or equivalent processor + 16GB RAM + 6GB VRAM

On this configuration, the game will automatically recommend appropriate graphics settings based on the detected hardware.

Environment Dynamic Cloth can generally remain enabled, while Character Dynamic Cloth will be recommended depending on actual system performance.

Recommended

i7 or equivalent processor + 32GB RAM + 8GB VRAM

With this configuration, the game should run reliably at 2K resolution with high-quality graphics settings.

Some systems below the minimum requirements may still be able to run the game, but will generally require significantly reduced graphics quality, render scale, and dynamic effects.

Because this can noticeably reduce the atmosphere and immersion of Jimo Three Kingdoms, while also making stability more difficult to guarantee, we do not recommend playing below the minimum requirements.

Multilingual UI Improvements

Alongside the performance optimizations, we have also completed another round of UI adjustments in preparation for multilingual support.

These changes include:

  • Removed item and equipment names directly displayed in the inventory and equipment slots; these areas now display Item Type / Equipment Type instead

  • Replaced text-based labels for Soldier Cards, General Cards, and Tactic Cards with unified and more intuitive type icons

  • Redesigned the layout of character biographies and loading-screen background information for more comfortable long-form reading

  • Continued adjusting UI layouts and information hierarchy to accommodate different text lengths across languages

These changes not only support localization, but also make the overall interface more consistent and easier to understand.

Traditional Chinese Is Now Available

After this phase of translation, proofreading, and UI adaptation:

Traditional Chinese support for Jimo Three Kingdoms is now officially available.

Traditional Chinese players can now select Traditional Chinese and experience the complete game in their preferred language.

At the same time, the initial English translation has also been completed, and most of the in-game UI adaptation for English is now finished.

The English version is currently undergoing:

  • Text polishing

  • Translation proofreading

  • In-game display verification

  • Contextual wording adjustments

Once this final round of polishing is complete, English localization will be released worldwide as a free update!

This performance optimization update is not the end of our work. We will continue monitoring performance across different hardware configurations. If you still encounter crashes, severe stuttering, or other abnormal behavior, please let us know through the Steam Discussions.

Once again, thank you for your continued support, feedback, and patience!
