We’ve released an update based on your feedback and impressions.
This update focuses on magic skills, which received a lot of feedback, along with game balance adjustments. We’ve also added video tutorials and in-game guidance to help make the controls and skills easier to understand.
Update Details
Magic Skill Controls and MP Recovery
- Magic Missile is now activated by right-clicking an enemy. It can be used both while exploring and during combat.
- Teleport can now be used by right-clicking a floor tile at least 5 tiles away, both while exploring and during combat.
- Incinerate can now be activated without targeting an enemy by holding the left mouse button near the midpoint between your character and a nearby enemy.
- Meditation’s MP recovery now scales with maximum MP.
- Mana Conversion now restores MP when a weapon attack deals damage to an enemy.
Game Balance Adjustments
- Adjusted the distribution of XP earned in dungeons and how it increases across floors.
- Elite monsters now grant 3 times the base XP of normal monsters of the same type.
- Equipment sell prices now reflect additional effects, upgrades, and crafting modifications.
New Tutorials and Settings
- Added video tutorials for rolling, parrying, Bomber, and magic skills. Once viewed, these tutorials can be revisited through the training statue’s controls guide.
- Control hints now appear near the cursor where Magic Missile, Incinerate, or Teleport can be used.
- Added a hold duration setting under the Controls tab in Options. It can be adjusted from 0.30 to 0.50 seconds.
Visual and Guidance Improvements
- Made elite monsters easier to identify both in the game world and on the minimap, and added an explanation when you first encounter one.
- Made illusion mirrors, bosses, portals, and enemies spawned by stagnation easier to locate on the minimap.
- Improved dungeon event notifications and guidance on what to do next.
- Updated the game mode selection screen to make the mode descriptions and current selection clearer.
