Upon reaching 100 Rage, players gain the option to activate Berserk Mode manually. This is not a permanent auto‑transformation.
Berserk Mode Duration: 2 turns. Rage resets to 0 once it expires.

Core design intent: The +60% Attack paired with ‑35% Defense creates a high‑risk high‑reward playstyle: "You hit much harder, yet you are far more vulnerable", instead of an overpowered super transformation.
While Berserk Mode is active, the Defend command is greyed out and unavailable. This fits the classic berserker fantasy perfectly. Players face a critical choice: eliminate foes within these 2 turns, or risk getting taken down themselves.
Parry can only be performed while in Defensive Stance. Different characters feature unique parry effects:
Lin Chong: Successful parry triggers a counter‑attack dealing 50% of normal attack damage, applying 20% armor reduction.
Lu Zhishen: Successful parry reduces incoming damage by 80% (for that single hit only), applies 10% armor reduction, and knocks the enemy back 1 tile (if terrain permits).
Armor reduction from parry effects caps at 30% and cannot stack beyond this limit.
Only one parry input is allowed during an enemy’s attack window. Additional parry inputs within this window will have no effect.
