Update v0.25 – Children of the Vine (Internal Testing)
The black rain has not fallen in a long, long time.
Yet in the deepest reaches of the overgrown wastes, something still waits for it.
New Faction: Children of the Vine
They are fanatics. Soft-eyed and soft-spoken until the moment they are not.
They tend the great Vine as if it were a living god, feeding it, bleeding for it, and whispering the same name into its leaves night after night:
Shaka-Shaka.
They believe the return of Shaka-Shaka will reopen the skies. That the heavens will burn once more and the black rain — thick, shining, and absolute — will fall again, just as it did in the days when the world was remade in oil and fire.
Until that day comes, the Children endure.
They draw power directly from the Vine. It sustains them. It changes them.
What walks among the roots may look like gentle beasts… but every one of them carries a terrible secret beneath the bark and the bloom.
Approach them carefully.
Speak the old words if you know them.
Or simply listen to the leaves.
They are always listening back.
