New Secrets And Updates To The Grim Reapers Story

💀 Grim Reaper Story Upgrades & The Final Secret 🔍

Hey everyone!

I’ve got a bigger update to share about what I’ve been working on with Disconnect 2.

The core gameplay and story are complete, but there was one part of the game I still really wanted to return to — the Grim Reaper story. 💀

The Grim Reaper has always been an important part of Disconnect, and I wanted to give his story a stronger conclusion. I’ve now added that story content through a brand-new and final secret hidden within Disconnect 2. 🔍

This is the final secret I’ll be adding to the game, and I wanted it to be something special for players who take the time to explore and uncover everything. I won’t reveal exactly what it is yet… but discovering it will give players more insight into the Grim Reaper and his place within the story. 👀

I’ve always enjoyed putting secrets into the Disconnect games for players to find, and this feels like the right way to finish off that side of Disconnect 2.

🛠️ This is what has been updated

  • 💀 New Grim Reaper story content – Expanding and concluding his story through the new secret.

  • 🔍 The final secret – A new hidden discovery for players to find within Disconnect 2.

  • 🎮 Control improvements – Reworking movement and controls to make the game feel more responsive.

  • 🎬 Opening scene changes – Making additional changes to the opening sequence.

  • 🐛 Bug fixes – Including fixing an issue where players could sometimes become stuck on elevators and lose control of their character.

  • 💾 Save fixes – Fixing issues where progress wasn’t always saving correctly.

  • ✨ General improvements – Fixing smaller problems and improving the overall experience.

I’m also returning to the original Disconnect and making improvements there with everything I’ve learned since creating it.

I don’t see these updates as a one-time thing either. I plan to come back periodically to both Disconnect and Disconnect 2, continuing to fix problems, improve things and make adjustments whenever I find areas that can be made better.

At the same time, Disconnect 3 is beginning production. 🚀

One of the biggest things I’ve learned from developing the first two games is the importance of having enough time to properly refine a game before releasing it.

Because of that, I’m planning to approach Disconnect 3 very differently.

I want Disconnect 3 to release in a much more polished and complete state. 🎮✨

Rather than rushing to get the game out, I want to give myself the time to properly test it, refine the controls and gameplay, fix bugs, improve the presentation, and make sure everything works together the way I want it to before release.

Disconnect 3 will benefit from everything I’ve learned making the first two games, and I want to make sure that experience shows when the game eventually reaches players.

The core of Disconnect 2 is finished. Now I’m going back in to improve the experience, give the Grim Reaper story its final piece, and add one final secret for players to uncover. 💀🔍

And while Disconnect 3 moves forward, Disconnect and Disconnect 2 will continue to receive attention from me periodically.

The journey continues. 🚀
