A new update, how exciting!

What does the title mean? Well, allow me to explain...

First off: a massive thank you to Bafster! He was a player who originally played the old version of TC:WA a few years back. Recently, he has gotten in contact with me, and has played this game to a massive extent to where he has found some quality-of-life changing fixes that will benefit everyone! Even though I have thanked him by providing him codes for the supporter pack DLCs, I still can't thank him enough for the help he has provided.

Now, about the title... why the rewind?

In reality, it doesn't change anything about TC:WA. Nothing has been taken out, or has been changed. A title that is version 1.0, and beyond, means that the game / app / product is a finished version. My game is not that, and the only reason that TC:WA was beyond version 1 was because I thought it was a massive upgrade from the very first edition (which it definitely is) but is far from finished. This is why I'm subtracting a 1 to this game, but there's nothing else to it. (Thanks again for that pointer, Bafster)

Makes sense, right?

Now, let's move onto the newly added features!

Warning: It is recommended that you start a new game if you have already have an existing save. It should be fine to play as is, however there could be some broken things that cannot be fixed without doing a hard restart. Either way, there are some newly added early game locations, features, and fixes, so it's not like you're doing the exact same thing again for nothing.

  • New building: Angus's home

He looks sad, doesn't he? Well, he sure has been through a lot.

After mission 5, now that Angus is in your party, why not build him a nice little shack where he can kick his feet up.

  • Added a new map to the world: A place with no name.

This early location will act as a small friendly location for you to purchase ammo, building materials, and a refreshing beverage for you to sip some easy XP. The old man can be spoken to and will offer you some friendly chatter that is greatly needed in the lonely world.

  • Added a new buying system to the game.

As mentioned above, the old man's camp will act as a small hub to buy some much needed items. The Jah-Goh camp that can be discovered later on in the game is also a friendly place where the player can buy more expensive, but higher quality items. These include a battle rifle, ammo, building materials, and blueprints to build your safezone further.

  • Fixed a camera bug when moving the mouse too quickly caused the camera to freeze and jerk in place. (Thanks again, Bafster)

  • Added some decorations to the Jah-Goh camp.

  • Added an easter egg to the Jah-Goh camp.

  • Added a proper credit system to buy items.

  • Speaking of credits, added a new consumable for XP gains!

  • Added voices to the Jah-Goh and the old merchant (voiced by yours truly.)

  • Fixed a bug where you'd get a bunch of achievements after finishing the prologue.

  • Added more rank rewards.

  • Added new dialogue to the Jah-Goh.

  • Added new lootable locations to the world!

  • Currently in BETA testing: Xbox controller support. Yes! You can now plug in an Xbox controller and play! This will also soon work in tandem with the Steam Deck, and the Steam machine.

  • A whole bunch of other minor bugs and other small fixes.

Remember that XP drink I mentioned?

There shouldn't be any legal troubles with that... right?

That's it... I think...

Alrighty! I'm off to have my second child tomorrow!

Take care, talk soon.

-Mr. Ox
