Patch notes: things done since the demo launch

Demo:

  • Smoother room-to-room movement, stabilized NPC positioning and reduced screen flicker

  • Full English coverage: every text in the game follows your language choice, including item drop messages

  • Equipment can now be removed from an equipped slot by dragging it back to the inventory

Full game (in addition to the improvements above, coming Nov 5th):

  • New card "Bind to combat": playing the card adds a card to the opponent's deck that stops them from fleeing. To use the flee command, the opponent must first play the added card

  • Newbies now have a 1-hour protection buff, preventing PvP combat. The protection works both ways: a protected newcomer cannot attack anyone either. It can be relinquished voluntarily

  • PvP kills now transfer some of the victory points from the slain player to the killer

  • Imbue: it is now possible to imbue items with the help of the Dragonsmith or Cursed Kaarel. Imbue gives an item a special power that impacts a specific card in your deck. The Dragonsmith only asks for a monetary contribution; Cursed Kaarel demands a duel (non-lethally)

  • Sacred areas (Sõll, Grove) can no longer be captured through Conquest; they require a ritual to be crafted at the spell bucket located in the area

  • Recipes now accept several different kinds of ingredients of the same type (e.g. instead of 2 exact same leathers, 1 deer leather and 1 polar fox leather can be used)

The demo is free and sits right on this page. Try it, then come tell me what worked and what did not: the game is being shaped daily in our Discord, https://discord.gg/MS9vXquzMX.
