Welcome to Update 1.2.6! We’ve been hard at work on this and thanks to our playtesters, we’ve found a lot of things to test. Read on!
Save Version Warning
We have added a new version check when loading saves from previous versions of the game.
Unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee that saves will continue to work correctly between different versions of Huntsman. As we make changes to levels, progression, objectives, and other systems, older saves can sometimes contain outdated information that causes issues when loaded into a newer version of the game.
Because of this, the game will now warn you when attempting to load a save created on an older version. You can still choose to continue with that save, but we strongly recommend starting a new game after an update to avoid unexpected issues.
We know this is not ideal, especially for players who already have progress in the game, and we apologize for the inconvenience. This was an important change for us to make so that players are no longer unknowingly loading incompatible saves and then running into problems later in their playthrough.
The Huntsman Now Rampages
The Huntsman will no longer simply die once the gas is deployed.
Instead, deploying the gas will send it into a Rampage. During this final stretch, the Huntsman will become faster and more aggressive while you attempt to escape the facility.
Be careful on your way out.
Fixes & Improvements
Fixed an issue where the Tarantula could sometimes become stuck in a T-pose.
Reduced the amount of noise generated by throwables hitting walls.
Fixed the flashlight being usable during the credits.
Fixed an incorrect door indicator after dying and reloading.
Fixed several areas where the Tarantula could interact with the player through walls or enter spaces it should not be able to reach.
Fixed an enclosed spider in the Laboratory occasionally escaping its enclosure.
Fixed unusual Huntsman behavior around the Security Office.
Improved spider death behavior and animations.
Fixed Restore Default Settings not working correctly with a gamepad.
Fixed an issue preventing new gamepad keybinds from being saved.
Fixed the requirements for the Completionist achievement. This achievement was incorrectly checking for all notes when it is intended to be awarded for collecting all ID badges. We apologize for the mistake.
