The Global Plates demo is live. Press Download Demo on this page and it goes straight into your library. No signup, no key, no waiting.
What is in the demo
- Four levels: the pasta tutorial, Hamburger, Sushi, and Ramen. Ramen unlocks once you have earned enough stars on the café levels.
- The full café loop. Build your factory in your own time, press START THE DAY, and a timed service day begins. Cats walk in on a schedule with one big rush, sit, eat, react, and pay. Nothing scores and nothing spoils while you are planning.
- Coins decide the result: pass, 2 stars, or 3 stars. Beat your best day on a level to bank the difference.
- An Upgrades shop in the build phase: café furnishings, factory upgrades that halve a machine's processing time in every kitchen, and decorations. Anything refunds at 80% while planning.
- Time-based freshness. Food ages from the moment it is made, wherever it sits.
- A controls guide on F1 or Esc → Controls, showing your real bindings and keyboard layout.
- English and Japanese. More languages come with the full game.
New since the last playtest build
- The cats talk. They comment on the meal, on the wait, on the furniture, and on the rush. A cat served an aged plate now names what went stale, and the heart verdict is reserved for a perfect plate.
- A plate's price now scales with its freshness, plus a tip for fast service. Three stars means the perfect day: every cat served, every plate fresh, nobody kept waiting.
- Lay a belt over one of your own belts and it is replaced, for single cells and dragged paths alike.
- Belt placement snaps to the nearest free machine port at both ends of a drag.
- Group move: in Move mode, drag a box around machines and belts to lift and drop them together.
- Every dispenser shows a badge with its ingredient, and the Dough Shaper shows its recipe, readable from the top-down view.
- A machine port hidden behind the machine body at the angled camera now shows a sticker on its cell instead of vanishing.
- Drag-panning the camera works when the press starts on a machine or belt.
- Japanese covers every string in the game.
Fixed
- The delivery line to the café could be deleted through a plate sitting on it.
- The Retry button slid under the cursor after a failed day.
- The tutorial let a just-validated belt be deleted during the step checkmark.
- Café items you owned started unequipped on a newly visited level. They are now equipped everywhere by default.
- The Settings language row offered languages the build did not contain.
Playtesters
- The demo starts from a clean save for everyone, so coins, stars, unlocks, and purchases from the playtest do not carry over. Your layouts are quick to rebuild with group move and belt overwrite.

This demo is the same game we will keep building on. If it clicks for you, a wishlist is the thing that helps most.
