Friends, welcome to the long-awaited release of Craftomation 101!
For those who haven’t met Craftomation 101 yet: it’s a visual programming and automation game where you program a crew of tiny robots to bring a frozen planet back to life. Connect visual code blocks, automate gathering and crafting, build a workforce that can sustain itself, and keep the heat flowing while you push back the ice. Upgrade your CraftoMates, develop smarter programs with functions, variables, and arrays, and gradually turn a frozen world into a living one.

We’ve been waiting a very, very long time for this day.
Craftomation 101 has spent more than two years in Early Access, and the game has changed enormously along the way. Your feedback, reports, saves, screenshots, and suggestions pushed us far beyond our original plans, including some big and daunting changes. A huge thank you to our fellow Craftomation players on Discord and elsewhere — you are the best and our main motivation to keep improving!

We added a huge number of things you asked for, including arrays, custom functions, the repeater, and much more. Some of these were features we weren’t even sure we would attempt at first, but seeing how much you wanted them gave us the push to actually go and build them.

We also added procedurally generated planets — another big thing that grew out of the way you played the game and what you asked for. Instead of solving the same world again, you can now start on new maps with different resource layouts, buildings, and volcanoes.

For the full release, we also prepared something special.

We completely reworked the UI.
Oh, you have no idea what a journey that was.
First, Dmitry spent about three months designing, redrawing, and polishing the new interface. Then Valery spent several more months putting the whole thing into the game — while also fixing more bugs than there are particles in the universe. Probably. And while all of this was happening, Nikolay was deep in rendering and performance, fixing a mountain of things under the hood so the game could actually handle everything we kept adding.
Originally, we thought the new UI would be ready around the beginning of August. But, as very often happens in indie development, August somehow quietly transformed itself into the middle of September.
The good news is that we had the extra time to test it in a closed branch, fix problems, move things around, stare at buttons for unreasonable amounts of time, and get it into the state we wanted for release.
And now it’s finally yours.
Look at it. Click it. Poke it. Build ridiculous robot programs with it.
We’re especially happy that Craftomation 101 is leaving Early Access during Steam Programming Fest.
It’s a very important event for those of us who make automation and programming games on Steam, so getting the full release out in time for it means a lot to the team.
And to celebrate, Craftomation 101 is currently available with a big discount during the event.

If you’ve been waiting to try the game, this is a pretty good moment to jump in.
Most importantly: play, experiment, break things, build things we never expected, and tell us what you think. Your feedback has shaped Craftomation 101 throughout Early Access, and we’ll be reading what you have to say about the release as well.
Thank you for spending these two-plus years with us.
And welcome to Craftomation 101.
