In order to handle your inquiries more quickly and reliably, we have made some revisions to the "Desktop Mate" Terms of Service, which will take effect on September 10, 2026. Ahead of the effective date, we would like to share the main changes with you in advance, so please take a moment to review them.
This revision sets out how we handle the "Support ID," which lets us accurately match an inquiry with the corresponding records, and describes the information the app transmits to external services in more detail, in line with current practice. All of the information transmitted is used to analyze and improve how the app is used, to identify and report crashes, and to respond to your inquiries. No other provisions have changed, including those on paid content, prohibited conduct, disclaimers, and governing law.
We have added the "Support ID", which is used to locate the relevant records when you contact us with an inquiry, to the information transmitted to external services. The Support ID is an identifier created by hashing your Steam ID and truncating the result to 10 characters. Your Steam ID itself, your Steam account name, and your profile information are not transmitted.
We have specified the information transmitted when a crash occurs. In addition to the device information described previously (OS, CPU, RAM, graphics card, system language, device model, screen resolution, etc.), this now covers application logs and stack traces from immediately before the crash, information identifying the app build, and the number of launches and the time from launch to exit. We have also updated the service name to "Unity Diagnostics / Unity Cloud Diagnostics."
Regarding the external service used for our inquiry form (Google Forms), we have added the information transmitted and the purposes of use under "Transmission of User Information to External Parties."
