Coffee is not the only crop coming with Beans & Alpacas. That may come as a huge suprise, but if you looked carefully at our expansion cover, you obviously anticipated our worst kept secret of all time: Bananas!

With a brand-new cultivation system, you may grow plantations full of bananas. We introduce a dedicated cultivation system, with rails and washing stations. On Catuaí, you can plant and harvest them year-round, making bananas a steady part of your farm.

Plan Your Banana Field
Place individual rows or generate a full layout!

From planning the layout to cutting, transporting and processing the harvest, bananas come with a hands-on production flow. You can handle the work yourself or automate harvesting with hired workers, but one thing is sure: it's quite satisfying to set up!

You place individual rows manually or paint a field boundary to automatically generate a complete layout of the banana plantation. The system calculates the row direction, rail count, area and cost for you, if you favor automation.

That gives you control over the size and structure of your banana field while still making larger layouts easier to plan. Once everything is set up, the rails become part of the harvesting process.

Rails & Machetes
Cut bananas by hand and hang them on the rails!

Bananas can be harvested manually with a machete. After cutting them, you hang them on the rails, move them through the system and take them to the washing stations

Once washed, the bananas are processed into pallets. If you prefer to focus on other work around the farm, hired workers can automate the harvesting process for you.

Keep Your Plants Healthy
Spraying remains mandatory for banana cultivation

But wait a minute: Banana cultivation also requires some maintenance. Diseased plants need fungicide treatment before they can recover. To treat affected banana plants, you use a tractor and a specialized sprayer.

Keeping the plants healthy is an essential part of the cultivation loop if you want to keep your harvest cycle running efficiently. Especially, since you can grow bananas all year-round in Catuaí. Before you ask: you can grow bananas in other regions as well.

Cut Back & Regrow
Banana trees will return!

After harvest, banana trees are cut back instead of being removed completely. They then regrow for the next cycle, allowing you to continue production from the same cultivation setup.

Obviously, bananas are great in combination with cultivating coffee. Doesn't a coffee estate with a rich banana plantation in the warm, yielding climate of South America, rich with red soil, sound inviting?

New Products & Factories
Banana Milk & Snacks

The banana fun doesn't stop when they're harvested, washed, and packed. Oh no! Of course, you can increase profits by processing them further instead of just selling them.

Produce banana milk, chips, jam, cake and more by delivering boxes of bananas to the drying station, the dairy, the canning factory, or the bakery.
