Executives have started escalating tickets

Thanks to everyone playing the demo and sending feedback. Update 1.0.3 is out, and it changes the game from day 2 onwards.

Escalated tickets

Once the company starts growing, some tickets arrive [ESCALATED] by an executive. Your automation isn't allowed anywhere near them: no auto-responders, no chatbots, no scripts. Only you.

  • They pay 2.5x and earn you extra reputation.

  • Miss one and it costs you double.

  • Automation still earns the money, but reputation now mostly reflects your own work. Nobody thanks a robot.

Your job no longer disappears once you've automated it. There's always something on your desk that needs a human.

A better first day

  • Your first career opens on six hand-picked tickets. You'll know them when you see them.

  • Stapley now tells you when your shift ends, and you get a reminder at 4:00 PM.

  • The End of Day summary shows what's coming tomorrow.

  • Stay until the end of your first day. Someone has been watching you work.

A new demo ending

  • See how your week went: what you closed yourself, and what automation did.

  • A look at what's still ahead in the full game.

  • Play Again starts a new run straight away, so you can try a different difficulty.

Tell us what you think

Are escalations too hectic, or too relaxed? When did it start feeling good, and when did it get boring? Wishlist SYSADMIN Hell to keep your job: your demo career carries over into the full game on Day 6. The full game launches on 3 December.

Major update21 Oct 2026Update 1.0.4: Orientation, and a fire extinguisher for chaosWelcome to your new job. This time, someone shows you around. Day one has a reputation. Some of you told us you had no idea what was going on, that Stapley's advice went by faster than you could read it, and that chaos "spiked out of nowhere" with no clue how to put it out. You were right. We had our scripted test player play a nervous first shift, and it hit the same wall: once the queue got a…Game update18 Oct 2026Update 1.0.2: Day 1 no longer leaves you waitingThanks for playing the demo! The first players' numbers told us something clear: day 1 was too slow. Tickets trickled in, the queue sat empty, and you spent your first shift waiting for work. That's not the SYSADMIN experience. You're supposed to be behind from the start. What's changed · You start with a full queue. The welcome email said the queue was already full. Now it actually is. · Day 1…
