Geodancer is an isometric action roguelite where the music runs the fight. It ships with 20+ exclusive songs written for the game, from
house and trap to rock and Latin, and each one plays differently because the enemies move to it.
The enemies are the drum kit. Chasers strike on the kick. Shooters fire on the snare. Tanks slam the ONE. Every attack is signalled one beat early,
so you parry by ear, and a hit landed on the beat is a PERFECT: full damage, full stun, combo climbing.
Stay in the groove and the venue answers you. The rooftop floor lights up tile by tile, the spotlights swing in, and the colour shifts from cold
indigo to hot magenta and gold. The mix opens up as a filter lifts off the track, and when you hit FEVER the crowd starts clapping along on the 2
and 4.
Everything is drawn in sharp neon vector lines on a black stage, so the screen stays readable even when it's full: enemies pop in on the beat and
shatter in their own colour when you take them down.
Each song has its own artwork on the stage, and there's one more fighter waiting after the Dragon.
Drop in any MP3. The game finds the tempo and the downbeat and builds a fight around your song.
I'm making Geodancer solo. A wishlist tells Steam the game is worth showing to other people, and you get an email the day it launches.
I'll post here as it gets closer: new songs, boss reveals, and a release date when I have one I can keep. Tell me in the discussions which genre
you'd fight to first.
