Settings Overhaul

Every setting in Dot Clicker has been rebuilt. A full crosshair editor with custom image import, a sensitivity converter that carries your aim over from any other shooter, rebindable controls, a proper video options page, and your own sounds for hits and misses.

A real crosshair editor

Build the aiming reference you actually want and watch it update live while you tune it. Start from a preset if you just want something readable, or go all the way down to individual RGB values.

  • Presets — Classic, Precision, Dot Only and Minimal as starting points.

  • Full shape control — length, thickness, center gap, center dot and dot size, outline thickness and outline opacity.

  • Color your way — color picker, exact RGB input, and independent alpha.

  • Custom images — import your own PNG or JPEG crosshair, then scale and rotate it. Color and opacity apply to imported crosshairs too.

  • Live preview — every change is reflected immediately, and the preview stays with you as you scroll the settings page.

Bring your sensitivity with you

Aim you have already built somewhere else should not be thrown away at the door. Enter the sensitivity you use in another title and Dot Clicker converts it using that game's yaw coefficient.

  • Sensitivity converter — pick a source game, type your in-game sensitivity, preview the result before applying it.

  • CM / 360° — work in physical mouse travel instead of abstract numbers, with mouse DPI taken into account.

  • Fine control — game sensitivity now adjusts in 0.001 steps.

  • Raw mouse input — reads unaccelerated mouse delta directly where the system supports it.

  • Invert vertical aim for players who prefer it.

Rebindable controls

Primary action, alternative fire, quick restart and pause can all be rebound, each with a primary and a secondary binding. If a key is already taken, you are asked what to do instead of silently losing a binding.

  • Primary and secondary bindings for every gameplay action.

  • Conflict resolution — swap, replace or cancel when a control is already assigned.

  • Key chords are supported, and Quick Restart can be left unbound entirely.

  • Confirm quick restart — optionally ask before discarding an active run.

Video settings that match your monitor

Display, performance and image quality are now separated into sections you can tune individually, with a safety net so a bad display change can never lock you out.

  • Display and output — monitor selection, fullscreen / borderless / windowed, resolution and refresh rate.

  • Frame pacing — VSync, frame-rate limit, and a separate unfocused frame-rate limit so Dot Clicker stops eating your GPU in the background.

  • Rendering quality — quality presets plus individual render scale, anti-aliasing (now including MSAA 8x), texture, shadow and effects quality.

  • Field of view control for gameplay camera framing.

  • Safe display changes — a confirmation timer restores your last working settings automatically if something goes wrong.

Target clarity and HUDReading targets quickly is most of the game. These controls let you tune separation and feedback to your own eyes and monitor.

  • Target color with per-channel RGB control, plus target glow intensity and size.

  • Remaining-life indicator — show damageable target health as an Arc, Bar or Number, with its own color, opacity and placement.

  • HUD layouts — Standard or Arc, with arc behavior and coverage options.

  • Background dim to push non-target space back, and HUD opacity for non-critical interface elements.

  • Miss indicator — visual feedback at the pointer after a missed click.

  • Visual effects toggle for players who want a quieter screen.

Your sounds, your output device

  • Custom hit and miss sounds — import your own WAV, OGG or MP3, or stay on the defaults.

  • Output device selection — send game audio to the device you actually want.

  • Separate volume mix for master, sound effects, music and interface.

Run flow and quality of life

  • Search settings — find any option by name instead of hunting through pages.

  • Per-section reset — roll back one section without wiping your whole configuration.

  • Countdown duration is configurable, down to no countdown at all.

  • Presentation animation speed up to 5x for players who want menus out of the way.

  • Pause when focus is lost — local gameplay pauses when another application takes focus.

  • Measurement units — Metric or Imperial for sensitivity conversion and distance readouts.

Changes & Fixes

  • Settings now persist correctly across restarts, including custom rendering configurations.

  • Unconfirmed display previews no longer leak into unrelated saved settings.

  • Shadow controls stay editable when shadows are enabled, without resetting your other rendering preferences.

  • Custom sound preferences survive temporary file or audio-device failures.

  • The color picker no longer renders behind other interface elements.

  • Custom crosshair previews draw in the correct order and stay centered.

  • Missing text in the Play menu has been repaired across all supported languages.

  • Reduced repeated visual work on targets for steadier frame times during dense runs.
